They are built by LionSteel in Italy if I recall correctly. Very high tolerances and a quality blade.

It seems kick ass, and seems like it could be a crow bar all in one built like a brick. Even got the glass break on the end, prolly my new edc over my kershaw onion.

That Hest is leaps and bounds ahead of your onion. Do you have the Elmax or Niolox? I ended up selling the one I had, due to lock stick.

Niolox lol dumb me had to read that on the blade, the lock lever only works when open I guess that seems odd. This is my first higher end edc, got an awesome edge on it.

wow! I was just starting to research those for my new bumper. Doesn't look like something you can run on the road.

Yeah, that rotating lock is a little overkill when the knife is open, as the framelock is plenty strong. What steel do you have?

Is that the one that's supposed to be as strong as a full tang fixed blade?

Yea pretty bright for sure to run on the road. They do make a SAE version that you can run on road. Same light just less lumens lol

No folder is going to be as strong as a fixed blade, but they can come close. I'd say that DPX has a pretty strong lock. I'd say that Cold Steel has the strongest lock in the industry with their Tri Ad lock, but like anything with moving parts, they can still fail. Lock strength is low on my checklist when buying a folder. I grew up using Case knives to cut with and those didn't have any kind of lock.

It's Niolox, it's printed on the ricasso of the lock side of the blade.

I've been wanting some amber SAE fogs for my 3rd gen. It's low on my priority list right now though!

Spyderco's ball bearing lock is one of the strongest on the market as well.
