Let the trip planning begin. Little over 6 months before our 15 day arizona, utah, colorado trip. Planning the last leg first.

I picked up one last week, couldn’t pass it up and wanted something new. Still have the 1st gen but not sure what I want to do with that just yet.

I just want it lifted another couple inches with a more aggressive tire under it and I think I would be happy... maybe some armor, front and rear bumpers, and other things lol

I would say build up armor first and then worry about suspension. The pro suspension is great as it is but if you want more lift I get that. I would take off those fox shocks and put like a bilstein lift on lol. I would definitely get some 2.5 coilovers.

Finally got a little time to play with the jeep a bit. Love the hybrid style. Needs a winch bad though!

Its definitely a little smaller but the biggest difference is just the fact its a 2016 and i have luxury options. The ride quality is about the same but my tires are bald and shitty too though. Power and shift points feel similar but my jeep also has 3.73 gears as my 4runner did. Also like i was telling scotty earlier, sadly but this thing feels more ride ready thab my 4runner ever did. Its weird but it just feels ready to ride. Once i get some tires and lift ill be ready to ride soon after.

That’s awesome man, I understand the luxury! Going from an 04 to a 14 was wild. Hope to see the Jeep on the trails!

Morning Bama! We're going to be in the 280 area today, to grab some lunch and meet the guy to buy a new fender!

Yes sir! I started a thread asking for advice on my dilemma, but your solution solved the problem! Taking all the bolts out of the fender, except that one in the door jamb, helped pry the fender forward enough to open my door all the way. Now, let's just hope I can open my door after I install the new fender!

My rocker panel under the door is mashed in too, but I'm thinking of picking up those weld-on sliders from a guy in GA and they'll cover that mashed part once welded on.

Glad it worked for you. When you put it back together get the door lines correct 1st, then the fender, the fender has a lot more adjustment than the door does.
