Most of our trees are near the fence line and don't affect the house so we really don't have cleanup to do. This rain is really taxing the Septic system though. That is my concern come Saturday with up to 3" of rain forecast. I dunno if the owners before us dumped grease down the drain or what but it gets a little dicey when we get more than 2". Yard is really saturated and when it dumps rain for hours the field lines back up into the tank, fill tank then we have issues. Builder said he never had a problem when living here. He points finger at owner after him, before me. :notsure:

So meeting a guy tonight and buying a snorkel for $40 bucks. It’s a land cruiser 80 series but for the price I’m going to try to make it work lol. It couldn’t hurt lol. Definitely will see how well it lines up before any cuts haha.

I'm off Friday, schools out, I got lots of new camping gear, my wife and kid are out of town, and my truck's fixed. Let's go SOMEWHERE! Can we go far enough to get away from the rain?

@The-White-One said they had to turn around twice because of flooding in TNF. I would love to go ride but not muding.

Drive West thru Mississippi but you'll have to go thru the storms. Drive East to South Carolina or far Eastern GA and you'll be ahead of it. Either way, you gotta deal with storms and rain at some point. Alabama and Tennessee on Saturday will be stormy, rainy and just crappy.

NWS in Birmingham just released this.

NWS in Huntsville will likely do the same.

I personally hope this falls apart and we just get a little rain and thunder.

    A quote from AlabamaWX.....

Bottom Line: Severe storms are possible on Saturday and now is the time to get prepared. Refresh or create a severe weather safety kit and have a place of safety ready to go. Buy and install fresh batteries into your portable electronics that you will receive warnings on, especially those NOAA WeatherRadios.

This is not meant to scare you and make you nervous… just to let you know that the potential for severe storms is there for Saturday. This does not have the look of an April 27, 2011 outbreak to it, but all it takes is for one tornado to come down your street to make it your April 27th. Stay weather aware and check back for updates.
