Man....threads like this move so fast. I hope someone actually reads this...

Just recently received word that I am moving to Montgomery, AL. Doing a random internet search got me these results:

    1) It is racist
    2) the old money likes to hide the good areas of Montgomery, AL
    3) military families moves to Prattville, Millbrook, or Wetumpka
    4) It is racist

Basically what I found on the internet is the normal dumb shit bored people post when they never leave their house. Can someone point me to individuals that would like to help an owner of a 01 DC Prerunner with relocation advice? I have 2 kids (3yr old, and 1 yr old), and a newly unemployed wife who will be looking for playgroups and what not. I have seen my family a total of 9 months since my oldest was born, and plan on making this relocation work.

Personally, I avoid cities whenever possible because there are no good big cities in this state. Racism, yeah, It still amazes me that so many have yet to grow up beyond that point. It goes both ways, from both sides.

We have a few members around that area, but most of them rarely post anything. Just don't get a place in the city, and if you can, make a temp trip over here and check the area out. There are some very nice places around.

Yes, old money runs a lot of the south. It's not as bad around Montgomery as it is in places like Marion, but it exists.

There is a guy in Milbrook, I'll see if I can find his name so you could PM him. He would be the best guy mto ask about the area.

We have a load of members around Bham. Keep an eye out for the next meet. We always post a link in this thread!
