Its going to cost EMC insurance about $4300 to fix my Taco. Thats a tailgate, 1 tailight, rear bumper, and right bed side. That along with a part that connects the bumper to the frame which got twisted almost upside down. When they take the right panel off they will probably find more damaged parts. There is a good chance my bed got cracked and those run $1500 and about $3000 with labor hours(28hrs at about $50hr). And there is a very good chance my frame is off. IF they are unable to fix that, I would need a new frame. Those run near $6000. All that would total my Taco in the state of AL. fuck "fender" benders

Sometimes it is better declared totaled. I always worry about people who fix wrecked cars, they are not always as good as new. Sorry to hear that dude

I have no interest now on buying upgraded parts. Stock is the way to roll for my purposes. The only thing I want to upgrade is to 265s BFG All Terrains. And maybe a few minor things like a bed extender or darker tint.

Not in my case. Im 16 and make my payments. But I would still owe a few thousand if it got totaled to Texas Toyota for the loan I got. I wouldn't pay the remander to the dealer cause I dont have it. Luckly my father makes plenty to handle that but I dont want to be in that situation. EVER.

    Random question:
Do Access cab Tacomas come in a 4x4 Sport edition? or is that just for DC long bed?

The Toyota Land Cruiser Association. It's not limited to Cruisers, any toyota 4x4 ownership is allowable. There's not a chapter in AL, and I've been getting stuff together to see about starting one in Birmingham. I figure this is a good spot to talk to some like minded folks who might be interested.

Yeah. I'm going wheeling with a bunch of guys from Rising Sun 4x4 Club from CO in May, and I was thinking it would be awesome to have a Toyota 4x4 club here. Basically there's a national group called TLCA, then there are local chapters. There are yearly dues, wheeling events, and monthly meetings to organize everything. The TLCA has basically a "chapter starting kit" that outlines how to solicit members, form bylaws, elect officers, etc. I don't know if a monthly meeting would be rough to have the club be a N. AL thing. B'ham is fairly close to Montgomery, but not so much to Huntsville. I dunno if a drive like that would hurt attendance at a monthly meeting or not.

Edit: Oh. And there can be punch and pie. :p

It's a minimum of 5 Toyota 4x4 owners to have a valid club. It says that other people can join the local chapter, but only Toyota 4x4 owners can be voting members or officers. I emailed them to see what the official regulations are, but I'd think you could still join the local group, attend meetings, go wheeling, the works. Just wouldn't be eligible to be an officer or vote. I'd say if I can get this thing off the ground with enough folks, the more the merrier. You're a Toyota offroad enthusiast, and I'd think that would be enough.
