Im not worried about catching this, hell id be better off if i did. At least then i can get 100% pay out from my short term disability plans. Unemployment is not enough to cover us. I do still have 2.5 weeks worth of vacation time i can and will use if needed. Hoping my company just pays us.

I hope your information is better than mine but I'm still sitting here.

However, I stuck my head in the director's office a minute ago to ask for a signature and I overheard him say 'Well go ahead and shut it down then";then he got up and shut the door.

Totally. And unemployment isn't the easiest or fastest thing to get in a normal time, I'd imagine it's gonna be awhile before anyone sees that check.

I don't see the point of staying open now. Demand is going to slump and we are already well below maximum output. We'll work through the shit then take down weeks in the fall. :annoyed:

The CEO sent out a letter saying he wanted everyone that could to work from home, however he was leaving the decision up to the managers (i.e. covered his ass). All the people at the corporate office are working from home, but all of us plant creatures are being made to stay for now; even though I am not in day-to-day operations. There would be a riot if they let the salaried go home and made the operators stay.

They are taking some precautions. There are no visitors or contractors allowed in the building. It takes the CEOs signature to get anyone inside at the moment.

Hyundai in Montgomery shut it down. An employee tested positive.

Edit: just read the big three in Detroit agreed to shut down all factories.

We are as well as of now. They just cut back on hours and manpower a bit.
    I hope we keep running.

It's kinda like follow the leader. Eventually everything will be shut down I would think.

And IF everything gets shut down and stays shut down, along with the shelves not getting restocked, shit’s gonna hit the fan. Are y’all ready?

I think it's the fact that they don't have any kind of a way to control it, not sure of the long term effects and it could mutate to a different strand. Just all the unknowns and the media.

A sister of an employee in our main office in Florida has it. He had dinner with her Sunday night. They sent him home but you know good and well that office down there is a hot spot.

Ammo is still good around here, but I have a feeling that won't last long. Snatch it up while you still can man, it's been the strangest of days lately.
