    Maybe they didn't turn the military wrap properly, leaving it bigger than it should have been. Since you are running new bushings and everything seems tight, that's probably the problem.

    Are they poly bushings? If so, they use sleeves so that the bushing and bolt can freely rotate, so loosening and tightening the shackle bolts won't change a thing. Shackle angles are all based on lift height and truck loads. The more lift, the further forward the shackle angle will be. The less lift or more load added, the further rearward the angle will be.

    If they are vulcanized rubber bushings, then those don't use the same type of sleeves and need to be tightened under full vehicle weight on the ground only, or they will be preloaded and stressed.

    That is pretty neat! I've had my eye on this one for sale for a while now. I don't have enough saved up for it and even if I did, now would be a very bad time to buy a toy.

    This is exactly what I'm looking for though. T-Tops would be a bonus but Trans Am specialties in Florida can install those if I wanted to.

    I like that idea! I won't be keeping original suspension once I own one. Probably keep the motor just because that is so expensive to drop a new one in it. I will do some motor work though to get more HP out of her.
