I've been once, I don't remember it. I guess that made it an emergency.

I was like 8 and had a bike wreck. All I remember was riding in the woods, looking down at my pedals.... Pen light being shined in my eyes.

So my company just sent out a letter saying that we are a critical enterprise and support critical infrastructure. They cited some DHS document about critical manufacturing sectors as justification for us not shutting down and overruling state level executive orders.

I get it, trucks need to roll, repairs and replacement parts are needed, but there is no justification for building more new vehicles right now. There is “0” demand. This is just the loophole they found to not shut down and have to pay people. Then we’ll be taking down weeks in the summer and fall because we have a surplus of products.

A Boeing employee has died (yesterday) from Coronavirus in Washington, and they sent out a notice today that they will suspend operations at that plant starting Wednesday.

IT TAKES A FUCKING DEATH TO CLOSE YOUR DOORS WHY CAN YOU NOT BE PROACTIVE

dude that's horrible! I know these big companies are wanting to stay open but most plants should be able to close for a few weeks without going under.

My company is still not fully committed to working from home. I was told this morning that the 'test team' might have to go on site later this week to meet our software release deadline. At least in that case it is only a group of 4 people, but dang it can wait b/c we have no one to deliver it to until everyone goes back to work.

I'm virtually working. A lot of great things going on in the ether, but seeing them in RL might be a whole other question....

Or people doing all the chores and things they know they can do right now. I bet this will pick up more by the end of the week when people are looking for more to do
