I hate being around big groups of people in a normal world let alone in our current one. Im not a crowd person. Looks like ill find somewhere else. Any ideas on where one can camp away from folks where their are family freindly bike trails?

Check out the Ladiga trail in Jacksonville. You can park your truck on campus and ride those trails all the way into GA if you want!

If you are in Jacksonville, why don't you camp at Chocco?

sweet. I've tossed the oak mtn idea to Trey and Wes to get them thinking about it. I want to ride my new bike there so badly. I'm biking this weekend either at Oak Mtn or Monte Sano 100%.

The Ladiga trail goes for hundreds of miles. Great place for beginner bikers.

As for camping, there is a camp spot right on the trail in Borden Springs and I’m sure there are many more.

Just another option if you decide to make a multiday bike trip for the family.

Isn't the Ladiga trail an old railroad line that was converted to a path. Aka, flat with low grades.

Yep, pretty much flat trails. You can ride for days on that trail!

Tanya was talking about it. I just imagined the times I've walked railroad tracks and thought... "not really for me"

I walked railroad tracks as a kid. Hell, my buddies and I even jumped on a train a few times as a kid as well!

Were i grew up there is a 30 miles long trail that follows what used to be an old railroad track. We used to ride to the end of it, eat lunch then ride back on saturdays during the summer. Might be cool to check out.
