I have roughly $700 in suspension (2nd gen though) and $1400 in wheels / tires but I am on 265’s, not 285’s. Lifted 3/2, didn’t have to do UCA’s after the lift so that saved a little coin and don’t have the cab mount chop or any rubbing but I’m also 2nd gen. Everything was bought brand new except for the add a leaf in the rear but I did buy all 4 shocks and the ride was 100x better than stock.

I like the way some of the SCS wheels look, don’t get me wrong but I couldn’t swing the price. Either way I like the way the MK6’s look and the stance in my opinion is about perfect.

Looked at that tire size but didnt want to buy new wheels as well as tires. Honestly happy i didnt for now. Maybe in the future ill step up a tire size. Truck performs well with the size i have now and zero clearance issues on and offroad.

:tumbleweed:this place is a ghost town today!
Well, wife and I have always had some pretty open communications about what we wanted to get each other as far as gifts go for holidays/birthdays/christmas, but we've finally come around to building some wish lists on Amazon to keep the surprise aspect of things. So with that being said, every thing I want is hundreds of dollars thats truck related, so what are some ideas under $100 that are must haves for your truck? lol

My first thoughts are recovery stuff; I already have a great snatch strap and a few shackles, but could go ahead and start adding some winch stuff/other recovery items I guess. Thoughts/links?

I've got shackles but wife got me a soft shackle for christmas https://www.amazon.com/Smittybilt-13051-B-Soft-Shackle-Rope/dp/B01KQSZL5E, I really like it stuck it in my door pocket handy being right there used it several times.

I've actually got a soft shackle too, but don't know that'll ever be used lol
I've got a cheap one similar to that, but do have the viair 450p I think in my cart for going onboard eventually. Need to look a little more into the onboard air megathread and finalize that though. Seems all those different parts could definitley make the list!

I def would reccomend onboard air! I think its my Favrite mod to date!

I would also recommend getting one of these if you dont have one. I dont leave home without one in my car. Have used it on several occasions in the past.

definitely adding one of these to the list, thanks! Its the things like this that don't give you any instant gratification that I want, but won't convince myself to buy haha
