If i were you Brian just ditch the sway bar.. That's what i did... If you don't want to you can have my sway bar relocate r and the equipment for it! Since updates are in store and you offered to help...

My Front bumper is pretty much done. R- Rab Eric posted like Wednesday of last week that he was going to finish welding of mine and 2 or 3 other people's bumper by the end of the week.. So he has to grind it and get it de-burred then it will be ready.

My Rear HC is getting started on most likely. He finished his and posted up pics of his on Saturday so he is probably going to have both of mine finished and ready to ship in the next 2 weeks. Then when i get them in i'll probably take them to the line-x facility and get them to go it there.. if not i'll buy 2 quarts of Herculiner and do them myself! Then make them satin with Rust-o-leum Satin Textured spray paint! That's what i did for my Tool box and it turned out AMAZING!!

If gas prices weren't killing all of us i'd tell you to come on up with everyone else from the B-ham area..

BTW.. Brian, I know you offered up your house for the next one but if i can work something out with a friend of mine who owns an off road shop in Morgan City (15 mins south of Brian's house for those who don't know) would you guys want to do something there? For people not working on the truck they can just pose on the side of the road and see how many people take pics of all of our trucks. If he's down for it i'll even see about making a banner or something!

HAHA!! AWESOME DUDE!! I never thought anyone took me up on my offers.. Like Paul knows.. They can do CHEAP on somethings but because they don't have the volume as some other stores so they can be BEAT on stuff to! But it's good to see a thumbs up for them!

Yeah, they did fine. Jason wanted me to come back later to get them rewelded because the welds weren't pretty enough for him (something was up with the welder) but he said they'd hold just fine, so idgaf.

Biggest thing for them was they could accomodate me on a Saturday.

Danny at rocket city told me to come in (on a weekday), and when I got there, said "oh we can't do that today." After I had already gotten a buddy from work to come get me.

Maybe I've just had bad luck, but any time i've tried to get RCOR to do anything for me, they've been douchers.

    Victory gave great customer service.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
I'm parked next to one of the mobile guys. I can't find him on my phone though.

I'm up for a run to Morgan City for the meet. I'm still trying to find out when I will get back from my trip. They are talking about delaying the soyuz 2 weeks and that will keep me out of town.

I will still offer my garage if you need a place to store your bumpers. Just let me know if you need it. I'll set a temp code on it that will let you in. You can put one in the back of my truck and the other next to the workbench.

As far as my sway bar, I plan to do it like my bull bar, hank them puppies before I go wheeling. I do like my truck stiff on the roads though, so I'll probably just remove it as needed.

I'll check it out without the sway bar. If I don't feel a difference, then I'll leave it off. I know it will help offroad, so if we go wheeling I will definately pull it before I go out.

I don't have a swaybar on. You feel the difference, but you'll either like it or you won't bother to put it back on.

I opted to leave it on, may revisit that when my truck is old and no longer my daily driver.

I don't think the extra articulation is going to really be necessary for the kind of wheeling I expect you'd want to do in a shiny new 2011, FWIW.

    Edit: 2010, whatevs.

I really doubt it'll happen, unfortunately. Gadget hasn't responded to any of my PMs.

It is all about steps. As I upgrade armor and mods, I'll get a little braver. By the time I'm done, the truck will be middle-aged. I won't look at killing it until it is payed for, but giving it a little rein at a time I think is acceptable.

As for the sway bar, anytime you lift one front wheel, the sway bar is pulling the weight off of the other. You can get a little more articulation and have all 4 bearing weight a little longer with it disconnected. The same as down travel, the longer you can keep a wheel on the ground, the more stable and more traction you have.
