I still linger but feel like an outcast now that I got rid of my taco. Yall will be happy to know I stuck with toyota and just went to the brother of the taco. I stick to my toyota-4runner.org forum lately but I would love to get together at a mod meet with some of yall. Here are a few pics of my new ride and a few mods I've done to it over the past few months.

Keep an eye out for the official date, but looks like the 12th for a meet. Come on by. I guess the guy didn't want the original bumper cover for your Tacoma. I am about to put it up for sale unless you want to get it.

@TacoAlaMode I definitely will! And feel free to sell it. My apologies again to you for having to store it for so long. Hopefully you can make some money off of it to make up having to hold it!

Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately that is spring break weekend for my son. He is at University of South Alabama in Mobile and we r headed to Orange Beach that week. Thanks again. Got some Katskin leather seat covers on order that I could use some help installing too. Pretty big job from what I understand.

 

Take out the front seats. I did on my wet oakley's and it helped a lot.

To be fair, I think all of the original alabama crew still have trucks (except kyle), but they might be different than 5 years ago. I'd probably still be in a tacoma had I not found some ice and a divider.

I learned real quick I don't want to mess with a daily driver off road anymore. Probably why several of us moved over to f150's to tow our cheap toys.

You'd be surprised to see how many back and forth usernames I see on the ford forums and TW.

 

I gave up on the offroader being the daily as well. I just kept the tacoma.

It went depressing around 3 years ago when the originals all either switched brands or moved states.

 

This is the truth. We had a good little run of consistent modding and wheeling going there for a while. I strongly looked at getting another tacoma, but damn do they hold their resale value. And the engine in the new one has got me all "meh".

 

I'm still daily driving mine! Now with that said, I will never put my truck at the level of the Beast and still consider daily driving it. My main goal is to make my truck more capable than it was stock and to test its ability and mine to perform at that level. I will pass on an obstacle that I feel I could never truly make or that I feel would put my truck or me in serious risk of damage. Maybe I just play a few times a year to keep my truck from being called a Mall Crawler.

 

Speaking of Trucks, I may be buying a new Tacoma. If I do, I want a 15 though, not a fan of the 16's.
