With decked system and mid height bed rack my cooler is to big. Was thinking the extender would be good to give room for the Yeti. It pretty sturdy?

 

It has buckles that clip to the tailgate. It’s not going anywhere.

 

Yeah the one I have is solid. Plus it locks into place using the tailgate locks. So you would only use it extended out at all times? It wouldn't be able to flip in because of the deck system. I have the AMP research brand

 

I had one on my previous truck and I used it OFTEN, but more often as a cargo divider than as a bed extender.

 

I would be using it strictly just for when we were going camping to give me room for large cooler. I have one of those Yeti’s with wheels. I would have strapped down too.

 

You ever thought about a hitch basket?

 

I have one of those. My father in law built me. Sturdy as can be. Might end up using it. Just thinking through my options.

LOL! No just lost space between rack and bed but will be worth it overall. Just got to find away to use my $400 cooler. Lol!

 

sell it and buy a fridge lol that is slimmer.

 

This was the ticket btw with the shifter. Ended up working well with the shifter. Also finally got the correct penetration on the the shifter nub. Used the ends off a 13mm wrench.

Looks like maybe a step up from oem but not quite RCV. Might be a good investment down the road.

I’d buy a front bumper and a few back up CVs for that kind of cash!
