Depending on how my new wheels sit I may also be selling my 1.25" spydertraxx spacers too guys. @justinalldredge19 had first claim at them I do believe when I ordered the wheels, but wheel keep you updated.

Just wanted to reintroduce myself to TW (former 13 SC Baja owner) and new to the Alabama thread. I just got to Huntsville a few weeks ago and will be working in the area for about a year. Look forward to meeting some locals and hopefully finding time to hit some trails etc. in the area.

Looking like lots of interest for a meet/ride. We need to set a date a little further out to give everybody prep/plan time. All we've been doing is spur of the moment stuff it seems haha.

Unfortunately, most everywhere around he will have a little mud. How you drive it depends on how bad it gets. The slab has some decent small hill climb areas, but there are a couple of places where you will get wet. The creek wash at the end is nice to clean everything up.

Stoney has a lot of places that aren't mud unless you turn left at the beginning and stay close to the creek. That was the infamous Paul's dive on our first trip down there and I've stuck mine in a section just big enough to get the front and back wheels in it.

I forget the name of the place down in Jacksonville (Morris Mountain???), but I do want to go back. I don't remember any mud there. Nice wide trails, had some good hill climbs for sure.

Welcome aboard. This is the main thread from which the event specific threads will pop out of. We should be creating a May 28th offroad meet thread soon.

We all hate mud, unfortunately it's part of every off road trip. There is no avoiding it here.

Edit: it appears @TacoAlaMode got in right before me.

A few mud puddles won't bother me but if the main point of a wheeling trip is to get slap ass drunk and yell "yeehaw" while driving into a mud pit over and over I'll pass

Other wise I'd be down for a meetup/wheeling trip! Anything to get me out of Mobile for the day/weekend!

Yeah as much as I love slinging some mud, I now have a 2WD and would hate to be the drag of the group and get stuck constantly.
BUT, if the consensus is that the trails aren't too bad and manageable, I could go. Will keep an eye out for more updates!

I don't blame ya. I have no interest in those either.

My first Taco was a pre-runner and I did pretty good. I did tons of wheeling in it. If you want to do the crazy stuff, just need more momentum!

If you get stuck a lot, it makes for good video. :D

Okay I called my brother to put the bug in his ear about going. He has a great idea of using my truck to tow his 4WD '84 there and back.
That'd keep my daily driven truck out of trouble but bringing his to wheel with would be much more fun.

Also I would really really like to nail down a date. He would need to request off so the earlier, the better.

For me I would love to lay down a Saturday in June if possible for going on a ride. Every saturday in May is booked right now and that gives me time to make sure I'm good to really ride.
