Sir that box belongs to the post office and is not to be used for firewood. Straight to jail you go.

Edit: prison, don’t you screw with Uncle Sam’s plastic bins

Went ahead and threw my swingout back on the truck. Think I solved the swinging open issue I was having. Added a hitch pin instead of the pull pin.

Who has their compressor mounted in the bed? From what I'm reading viair 444c needs 10 gauge wire if ran the distance from bed to battery. 8 gauge price difference is minimal so might as well run that? Actually not even sure the 444c will fit in the bed cubby...

I’ll take one out of the box and see if it fits tomorrow. I’m guessing we have the same size cubbies

That wouldn’t last two days in bed of my truck. Unfortunately I definitely use my truck bed as a truck and gets beat on back there. Always have diesel fuel and tools and many various other things sliding around. Plus I am not gentle when throwing stuff in the bed so even with a rubber no slip mat I’d still likely break it.

That's the difference of having Tacoma that's a toy and other vehicles to drive the daily. Thankfully my truck is my truck and not yours.

I never said it wasn’t? I’ll reread maybe I mistyped something. Pretty sure I said it wouldn’t last in my truck?

I never mentioned or suggested you would put the same thing in your truck. I merely posted a picture of something I could do if needed when I put compressor in the cubby. The rest of the conversation was via text which mentioned the pressure gauge and it's obvious hazard of breaking. The other items would be no issue.

Actually you implied it with the sarcastic remark saying good thing it’s your truck and not mine. Internet text can twist things. Sorry if you took it offensive enough to be bothered into slander. What I said was making conversation. The setup looks very nice but unfortunately I couldn’t have it like that. Yes, your truck. Glad you have things as you want them as that makes both of us. Seriously wasn’t trying to offend you as I don’t know you and have never had any issue with anyone. It’s the internet so unlikely I ever will.

    Anyway have a good night.

    Morning

    From AlabamaWX

SNOW ACROSS WEST AND NORTH ALABAMA: This morning snow is falling across Alabama generally north of a line from Aliceville to Jasper to Cullman to Guntersville; south of that line it is mostly rain along with some sleet.

Where the snow is falling, temperatures are near freezing in spots and some patchy bridge icing is possible this morning (roads will be just wet). For areas along and south of I-59 (including Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Anniston, and Gadsden), temperatures are in the upper 30s and no travel impact is expected, even if there is some sleet or a few snow flakes. Roads and bridges there will be just wet.

Snow accumulation over North and Northwest Alabama will be generally 1/2 inch or less, although a few isolated spots could see an inch or two on grassy areas if a heavier snow band develops later this morning.

Precipitation will end from west to east across the state by mid to late afternoon as drier air begins to move in from the west; tonight will be cloudy and cold with a low in the 28-33 degree range early tomorrow.

REST OF THE WEEK: The sky becomes partly sunny tomorrow, and we expect a good supply of sunshine Wednesday and Thursday. The high tomorrow will be in the upper 40s, followed by mid 50s Wednesday, and upper 50s Thursday. Then, on Friday, a cold front will move through the state mostly in dry fashion; a few patches of light rain can’t be ruled out, but moisture will be very limited. Temperatures will likely fall from near 50 Friday morning into the 40s during the day.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Saturday will be a sunny day with a high around 50 degrees; a disturbance will bring some clouds Sunday, but for now the air looks too dry for rain. Sunday will be a bit cooler with a high between 45 and 49.

NEXT WEEK: The quiet weather pattern continues; much of the week looks dry with seasonal temperatures… highs mostly in the 50s and lows in the 30s. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

ON THIS DATE IN 1918: A strong area of low pressure brought snow and bitter cold temperatures to Chattanooga, Little Rock, and Shreveport. Birmingham picked up about one inch of snow. In far Southeast Alabama, an estimated F3 tornado virtually damaged every building in the town of Webb in Houston County. The tornado leveled one rural school, killing one teacher and seven students.
