My son and I did 600-2 a few years back (when I had help at work). It wasn’t bad then. I feel it was less traveled, so made for a nicer day trip.

You can use this link to determine the gearing.
    https://old.lcengineering.com/LCTechPages/TECHGEARJANUARY.html

And this one to find a diff, you can search just Alabama or the South East.
    https://www.car-part.com/

Here is a few 4.10 diffs search for Carrier it usually gets more results than searching differential, not sure if it is a auto locking diff or not but these results are for one with manual locking hubs

If you have never done gears before and can't allot time that the truck will be on jackstands and the $$$ invested into the press, pullers, dial indicator, etc then going ECGS is cheaper. Especially if you are only going to do this once. I have all the tooling, ability, and experience but didn't have the space nor the time to do the gears myself. With experience it would of take me 3 days min. to tear down inspect, set gears up, and reinstall. Inexperience you might as well double that if not longer. Plus if you do it yourself you don't get a 5 yr warranty so if something messes up or you get something off and have a failure you're out that money. You gotta put the whole picture into perspective not just the zoomed in small window you are looking into.

I had mine installed at ECGS, 2 ARB lockers, a mini ARB locker only compressor, and took enough gear oil for 2 changes (1 break in) and was out the door at like 4600-4800
    And that's just the parts!!!!

Yea parts on mine was like $1,700 for rear with locker and new bearings(think I got gears on sale or something) front was $1,595 with locker and used bearings because I told them I didn’t want to spend more than $1,600 lol and they accommodated. I guess you could try that lol

Got a chance to look at it today, pretty solid lil truck could use a good bit of work supposedly the pinion bearing on the front diff went out and wollered the housing so plan to replace the front diff and could use a steering rack. Is taking the swaybar off on this the same as taking my swaybar off the end links are wore out so prolly gonna take that off this truck. Or would it get too much sway?

Picked up some leather seat covers for my truck today off FB market. Got a crazy deal on them. Couldn’t pass up. Love the new look of the interior!
