You have the last climb from the front side of Daniel and the backside of Daniel has a couple areas with many lines you can take. It doesn't surprise me in the least. Public lands OHV riding has been under attack and is only getting worse as it becomes more accessible to people that can now buy SxS, 4 wheelers, and old rigs.

 

If I ever win the lottery, I’m gonna buy a few thousand acres of land and turn it into an off road park!

 

There is a trail in Gadsden that runs the mountain along side 411 all the way to Leesburg some hunting club has ruined trail access for it, but that would be my attempted purchase if I won the lottery

 

So looks like they shut it down at least 5 yrs ago or so for "repairs" then just decided to let it die. Kinda the same BS they did with Telico. The EC really doesn't have a lot as far as public or even private access and every little step is a nail in the coffin. I know during covid some places in CA went big time under attack since they were on such harsh shut down they figured no one would pay that much attention since they weren't able to use it.

Tellico was heartbreaking, I had finally got my first Jeep to the point I wouldn’t destroy it going there and had my first trip there planned a right before they announced it was closing.

That's the old JFK trail that ran from Cherokee county all the way to the old Gregerson's in Gadsden. I rode that trail a lot as a teenager. They've blocked access and some of the mud holes will swallow a tank.

 

Wazzzup! It's a balmy 32 degrees here this morning and I'm freezing my ass off at work already!

 

I was running it on a Rzr a couple years back, you can still get to it from Glenn’s Gap, but it seems like they are trying to develop it about halfway down

 

I know where Glenn Gap is, I pass by it on my way to the range. I know it takes to you to the top of Noccalulla mountain. Where do you turn if you go up Glenn Gap from the bottom?

As you go through that S curve on Glenn gap, once you hit that first peak there is a trail that shoots pretty much straight up on the right. It’s right before you get to that first house after the peak.
