Yeah I don’t think I’ll need more than 5 or 6” really. I’d rather have the droop. How much droop are you getting?

No I don’t have the tires yet. I’ll do that in a couple of weeks after wedding probably. Just trying to get it street worthy for now.

    Nine,
I actually have four up but an inch is past bump so they dont bottom out and ten down but the limit straps stops it at nine so they don't over extend.

Are you running air shocks? I saw a pair of 18” Fox for $500 local. I almost grabbed them just to see how they acted.

Sup y’all. Need some input. Currently have SPC UCA’s. Have burned through 4 sets of ball joints in the last 3 years/65k miles. Thinking of switching to JBAs for more durability. Any experience or input?

3 sets. You grease them regularly? I’ve only had one set on mine for 50k miles. Joints still solid. If you do a lot of wide open throttle though jb not gonna be much better. I’d go uniball if you gas over obstacles. I like to crawl over stuff so I guess that’s why mine last so long. I’ve hit some hard stuff as well.

I’ve had them for a year and a half now, grease them every time I change oil, no issues. @gixxerphil has them too, they’re a pain to put on lol They don’t work well with oversized tires. I can’t go up to 33s or higher unless I get better backspaced wheels and/or spacers, their website has a list of combos that will/won’t work. They also had a bad batch of boots that started cracking a year or so ago but apparently have fixed it. Mine look alright. Not much else to say, my alignment numbers on about a 2inch lift (prob 1.5 inch now bc sag :( lol)

TODAY/TONIGHT: For most of Alabama, today will be a cool, dry day with a high in the 50-55 degree range. We will mention a chance of light rain, however, over the far southern counties of the state thanks to a passing upper trough. Some light rain is possible south of a line from Citronelle to Eufaula through tonight… amounts there should be 1/4 inch or less.

REST OF THE WEEK: Dry weather is the story. Expect mostly sunny pleasant days, and fair cool nights. The high tomorrow will be in the upper 50s, and then highs will rise into the 60-64 degree range Wednesday through Friday.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Saturday will be a dry day with a partly sunny sky… the high will be in the low 60s. A cold front will pass through Saturday night, but moisture will be very limited. A few areas of light rain or flurries can’t be ruled out, but for now it looks like most places will be dry. Then, Sunday will be dry and colder with a high around 50 degrees along with a partly to mostly sunny sky.

NEXT WEEK: The weather looks dry Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 50s… temperatures will likely rise into the 60s Wednesday. A disturbance will bring some risk of rain by Wednesday night and Thursday… See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details. No sign of any major snow or ice threats, or severe cold around here for the next 10-15 days.

STORM SURVEY RESULTS: A total of five tornadoes touched down in West Alabama last Thursday. Three of them were rated EF-2 from the same parent thunderstorm… one south of York near the Kinterbish community of southern Sumter County. Another in the Sawyerville community of Hale County, where one person was killed and eight others were injured. The third EF-2 was near the intersection of Hale, Bibb, and Tuscaloosa counties in a rural part of the Talladega National Forest (Oakmulgee Division). Two brief EF-0 tornados were identified in Elmore County… one north of Millbrook, and the other just west of the Lake Martin Dam.

ON THIS DATE IN 1812: The Hard Shock of the New Madrid Earthquake series strikes the area around the small town of New Madrid, Missouri. A three-mile-long island, Island #32, was completely sunk.N The Mississippi River once again ran backward. This major shock marked the beginning of the end of New Madrid’s extended ordeal, even though aftershocks would continue to be felt for years, and the fault is still active.

ON THIS DATE IN 1933: The USS Ramapo, a 478 ft. Navy oiler was traveling from Manila to San Diego when it encountered the tallest rogue wave ever recorded. The wave measured 112 feet in height was caused by 70 mph winds over a broad fetch of the ocean.

What he said. They’re too bulky to run a 35x12.50 without spacers or a lot of negative offset.

Just something to keep in mind as well SPC‘s have the most adjustment on the market as far as being able to stuff 35s in there if you switch your upper control arms are most likely going to leave some castor which might cause even more clearancing Issues. That being said if you do switch I’d probably go with the JD arms.

    From AlabamaWX

COLD START: Temperatures are in the 24-32 degree range across the northern half of the state early this morning, with mid 30s down to Mobile. Expect a sun filled sky today with a high in the mid to upper 50s… the average high for Birmingham on February 8 is 58.

Dry weather continues through Friday with a warming trend… look for a high in the low 60s tomorrow, followed by mid 60s Thursday and Friday with sunny days and fair nights.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Saturday will feature a partly sunny day with a high in the 56-63 degree range. A cold front will pass through Saturday night with an increase in clouds, but moisture will be very limited and it still looks like it won’t produce any meaningful precipitation. Maybe a sprinkle or flurry, but nothing more. Sunday will be a sharply colder day with a clearing sky; the high will drop into the 40-45 degree range across North/Central Alabama with a brisk north wind.

NEXT WEEK: Monday morning will be a cold with a low well down in the 20s… then we warm into the low 50s Monday afternoon with a good supply of sunshine. Dry weather continues Tuesday and Wednesday with a warming trend; temperatures will be close to 60 degrees by Wednesday afternoon. Rain will likely return by Thursday ahead of the next cold front… See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.
