Adding the taillights, toolboxes, tag, jack mount and starting a trailer hitch for snatching. Lots of little projects to wrap it all up.

    From AlabamaWX

DRY DAYS: Look for another big warm-up across Alabama today… with sunshine in full supply look for a high in the 66-70 degree range this afternoon. Dry weather will continue for the rest of the week with sunny days, clear nights, and a warming trend. Look for low 70s tomorrow, mid 70s Thursday, and upper 70s by Friday. Remarkably quiet for the first week of March, which is our wettest month of the year with an average of almost six inches.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Humidity levels will rise a bit, but an upper high should keep the state dry with partly sunny days and fair nights. It will be the warmest weekend so far this year with highs in the 78-82 degree range.

NEXT WEEK: Showers and storms return to Alabama Monday; there will be a decent amount of surface based instability in place, so strong storms can’t be ruled out. Still too early to know if severe storms will be a possibility. The surface front stalls out Monday night near the Tennessee state line, so some risk of rain and storms will continue into Tuesday, and possibly Wednesday. The high Monday will be in the upper 70s… then 60s are likely for mid-week. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

ON THIS DATE IN 2007: An EF4 tornado struck Enterprise around 1:10 p.m. Eight students at Enterprise High School and another man in the community died in the tragedy. The fatalities at the school occurred when a concrete wall collapsed on a group of students huddled in a hallway. A controversy arose as national media outlets questioned whether school administrators should have dismissed school early, but nearly all local residents supported the decision to keep students at school. If the students would have been sent home, no doubt the death toll would have been much higher.

A high-risk outlook was issued early that morning and a PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado watch was issued hours in advance. The National Weather Service Tallahassee issued a tornado warning a full eight minutes before the tornado struck the school.

Another devastating tornado struck the Millers Ferry area in Wilcox County, killing one man. That tornado also ranked as an EF4.

@Brian422 its really fun playing with the settings of your camera and seeing what she can do. This past summer I finally got some good lightning photos. The 24/70mm lens was a huge upgrade for me. Saving for a wide angle lens now.

All of these I shot with the Nikkor 24/70 f2.8. It's really my go to lens. Really versatile. Still though, I need a wide angle.

Thank you! I'll never forget one of my first shots of my bike right after I bought my camera back in 2018. @medic2230 told me to switch off the auto and set the iso yourself. It was so grainy. Anyway, that's when I was told to go to manual. Best advice I've gotten to date

It is, I’ve got to level the front out now that all the weight in the rear is gone, so that’ll probably put me right where I need to be.

Search the camera forums to see what different lens do, the lens that come with the Rebel are ok but a better lens makes a high difference

There is always people in there buying and selling good stuff. They also like to talk about different settings for each lens and give examples of what they do. Don't listen to the ones selling, they tend to always have the greatest even when it's not, lol

    Morning

    From AlabamaWX

WARMING TREND ROLLS ALONG: Despite a chilly start this morning with many places in the 30s, look for a high in the 71-75 degree range this afternoon with sunshine in full supply. The average high for Birmingham on March 2 is 63.

Dry weather continues through the weekend… with a sunny sky we expect a high in the mid 70s tomorrow, and in the 77-81 degree range Friday. Humidity levels will rise a bit Saturday and Sunday, but the upper ridge will keep us dry. With a partly sunny sky the high both days will be pretty close to 80 degrees; it will be the warmest weekend so far this year.

NEXT WEEK: A cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms to the state Monday. There will be some surface based instability available, and strong, possibly severe thunderstorms can’t be ruled out. Still too early to know if there will be a significant severe weather issue; we will have much better clarity over the next few days.

Beyond Monday, forecast confidence is not especially high. The global models are now pushing the front southward to the Gulf Coast, showing dry weather for most of the state during the mid-week period with highs in the 60s, and we will go with that in our forecast, but there remains some chance the front could hang up over North Alabama with some risk of rain continuing. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

ON THIS DATE IN 2012: Ten tornadoes touched down in Alabama, including an EF-2 that moved through Tallapoosa and Chambers counties, killing one person. This large multiple-vortex tornado crossed Lake Martin near the beginning of its path before passing near Jackson’s Gap, Eagle Creek, and Trammel Crossroads. Several homes sustained significant damage, and multiple mobile homes were completely destroyed. One mobile home frame was wrapped completely around a tree trunk. Thousands of trees were snapped and uprooted along the path, and two other people were injured.

Another EF-2 moved through parts of Madison County… homes were damaged to varying degrees by this high-end EF2 tornado, with a few poorly constructed homes destroyed. Silos, garages, and barns were damaged or destroyed, and many trees and power poles were snapped. Buckhorn High School was damaged, with vehicles moved and damaged in the parking lot.
