Yes the cab mount is desgned to keep wheel from jamming up into cab in the event of a crash. Thats why they made them thicker on 3rd gens. Me personally im going to keep mine but to each his own lol.

I just assumed that since you're welding metal back, it was ok. Is it just the cab relocate or the CMC too that people say that about? This is my learning lesson for the day

I mean anytime you modify something (take off less material) probably not gonna be as strong but id rather have a smaller section cut out with a plate welded back than my whole thing missing lol. Its a must for me though lol so im not really worried about it. If the day came and i got in a head on collision i wouldn't be too worried about cab mount being cut.

Gotcha. That's my train of thought. If I get hit hard enough for the tire to be in the cab.....I'd probably be dead anyway :D

Thats why I did the red goat fab ones, I only wish I had plated the frame before putting them on. But I wish I had done that for all the stuff ive welded on.

So I got to looking into that Meta Tactical for the Glock. You can get a 16" barrel from CAA(although you'd have to have it threaded). The only problem is that barrel is $239. That would put me almost $900 into a bullpup chassis.

I am doing the relocation pretty much because there isn’t enough steel to weld the chop plat back to

I drive it about once a week to work on backroads just to keep things rolling, but I’ll probably ditch the tag once I move up to 40’s haha it’s nice to be able to go hit the national forest without loading it all up though

That it is. Considering I already have a few 9mm PCC's. I can't justify the cost.......but if I get rid of the MCK....might think about it
