When you're done get some eastwood frame paint. It comes with a long straw and spray nozzle to spray the inside of the frames. It's a rust encapsulater too so it will chemically stop any surface rust. I used it on my frame on the rear after I boxed it in. It's messy and takes a little learning curve but it's really good stuff.

    Looking good.

What's the general consensus on the cab mount relocation kits? I wanted do one at first but seen where a lot of people were saying they are dangerous because the factory mount keeps the tire from coming into the cab in a wreck.

That's debatable. Without talking to an engineer on how the crash stuff is supposed to happen it's all people talking without actual proof of how its supposed to work.

I have the Red goat fab cab mount relocate it's more involved than the DRT. I like it and would do it again I think it's a little expensive and leaves off the backing that the DRT has which I think is a must. I think the DRT is probably the top one on the market.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Thats always how it is on the internet, people giving their .02 without any real world experience. I would really rather relocate than chop for the simple fact of its a one and done deal. Won't have to redo it if I ever step up in tire size.

I may have asked before and just forgot. So if you do the cab relocate, you don't have to do the CMC?
