I bought my first house when I was 19. Go through the first time buyers program. It guarantees a 2.9% max interest rate for your first home. Like @O906 said, make sure the bones of the house are in good shape and you're good to go.

First time buyers program, is that just through the bank?

YES!! You'll love it man. I have the hole saw/arbor for it if you don't.

I thought about that but I just don't like how far the airflow sticks out. I'm going to do the knock off Chinese snorkel from Amazon soon I think.

I have and am very happy with it. It's a pain because the template isn't perfect for our trucks. But if you possess a little common sense it's not that bad and works flawlessly!

Thank you sir! Yep, it looks that way. Spending all this money on an apartment is driving me crazy when I could be putting all that money into a house and building equity. Also a garage will be awesome, plus the wife says I can get a 2018 Tacoma if we get a house! :yay:

Ah so exciting!! My dog says he will continue to eat his food and happily sleep in my bed if I buy a house. I really think he'd enjoy running around the 12 acres at his size (110lb German Shepard/Black Lab). I just hate having to make a decision...I know it's a "buyers market" right now...but you still have to be quick on making decisions..

Trust me from very recent experience with this...not near as much money goes towards the principle/building equity as you want to think! Also, do yourself a favor and don't look at the breakdown of your mortgage payment...its heart shattering! Other than those 2 things, congrats buddy! Formal welcome to adulting....it sucks!

I believe it's a federal program to help first time home buyers.

I had the ARB on my first gen and loved it. I just couldn't pass up the group buy price.
