If you're ok with wasting any time at all b/c they hide the price......good for you.

Do you do that to people when quoting CMC's, sliders, etc?

Again, I know it can be done. I bought a used bike with no hidden fees. That dealer was completely upfront.....and b/c of that I will buy from them again if I can.

Phil, im not a business with employees that i have to pay and pay taxes on my services lol. Im just a guy that trys to help ppl out from time to time. This wasnt like you got to check out with bike at the store and you filled out paperwork and they were like ok itll be $25% more. All they did was post the price before their fees online and you called and then they told you the real price. I really don't see the issue with this. Businesses do it all the time. Its just to get you to call so they can make a sale to you. If i spent 5 min to call or email i wouldn't be bent out of shape.

If you're ok with it, fine. I will not support businesses that pull that bullshit. I wasted time. If I called about 10 bikes and have to waste 10 minutes each call b/c they want to hide prices.......that's a problem. I will deal with shops like the one I bought from. No bullshit, no problem.

What if I had driven 2+ hours to Canton to see it in person and buy?

There's nothing either one of us will say to change the other's mind, so might as well put it to bed.

Ain’t no different than buying anything else online. Price is $100, but after taxes, transfer fees, hazmat fees, mark up, it ends up being $199 out the door. Listing something for a price online, doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll pay that price when it comes to purchase time.

Then keep supporting them. The only added shit I run into is shipping.....which I expect. A used motorcycle isn't a new one, nor should added fees be tacked on.

But again, you guys keep supporting that mindset(you wanna buy an Aero lower? advertised at $5). I bought one from a dealer with ALL fees($189 processing fee) on the site and they even discounted the listed price. My bike listed at $6999 and I walked for $7100.

My Tacoma was bought from a no haggle dealer. The price listed was the price paid(minus TTL fees)...which was listed in the description......so no surprise or time wasted.

Dude, calm down lol. I’m not supporting anybody here. Sorry you had a bad experience with your motorcycle shopping, I ain’t done nothing to you. My advice, just don’t buy from that place. Plain and simple n

So you want to buy one of my Aero lowers listed at $5 :D? That's the whole point I'm making. If you actually thought I would sell it for $5 and then I dropped an added $100 on top......would that be ok, or would you tell everyone what a shitty seller I was(and I wouldn't blame you )? The fact they wanted to add $1200 on top of a $6300 bike is insane. It wasn't a small percentage. They have also had that bike sitting in their showroom for months.....I've had it saved in my "list"

I'm not pissy with anyone but the companies that do this.

Well, you sound like you taking it out on us Alabama members because one place didn’t conduct business the way the other did. And you saying that I support that kind of behavior is disingenuous at best. Easy answer, just don’t deal with those pricks.

Let's say $75. That puts it cheaper than new, but not low enough to really throw any "red flags", but then I throw in $45 for time/gas. It's now at $120....still a bit cheaper than new, after FFL/shipping/etc....now throw in the fact it's used.....still worth it?

KBB on the bike was $6600ish, so $6300 was a decent deal. $7500 isn't worth it.

It wasn't meant towards anyone but the business. I was trying to prove a point about 25ish% added on to a used bike and it didn't come off right apparently.

I completely understand and believe in businesses making a profit....but there is a point where it becomes insane and shady. At the least, put in the ad "doesn't include added dealer fees". I can assure those weren't there. I combed through both cycletrader and dealer website ads.

That's the problem. People shouldn't be ok with that kind of shitty business practice. I remember when dealers would negotiate and you never paid sticker price......especially on a used vehicle
I will never buy new, so won't be a problem. The last "new" car I had was the 95 T4R. I don't have the monies or need to keep up with the Joneses.....so used it has to be:D

I also got a taste of that with a new bike....$6699 MSRP and they wanted $8700 OTD for a small single cylinder thumper:rofl: No fucking way my bike is worth that. 7K is really more than it should be.

I dont think its shitty its just how things are done now a days. Those days are long gone since plandemic. Whats happened is ppl have over paid for vehicles and now they are stuck with them. Everything was low on inventory during the plandemic so prices were through the roof. So there was no negotiating and that seems to have carried over. My company track all of this info from used car sales, new car sales, average price paid etc. And basically for the most part what dealers are asking is what ppl are paying. Anyways if you can find someone your happy buying from then buy from them is all i can say. But its just the way the world is right now. Atleast for the new and used car market.

So you guys think it's ok?

The hidden fees are my problem. Had they listed it at even 7k, I never would have wasted my time......b/c I did my research and knew that bike booked for $6600ish. That's the point I'm trying to make.

I get what the "pandemic" did to prices.....and they can ask 10K if they want.....but they should ask 10K...not 7.5K and then tell you it's 10K.

What’s NOT expensive nowadays? You can blame the scamdemic for the situation we are in right now. Wait until you have to replace a hearing/cooling unit in your house. I paid $5800 3 years ago to replace in my home. It’s close to $9k now for the exact same units.
