Yeah. Found out that my insurance doesn't cover $1700 of the surgery. So not only does the hospital force me to use their facility.........I'm having to come out of pocket. Complete bullshit.....as an employee......we shouldn't have any out of pocket expenses

Morning guys.
Been busy the last few days and haven't got to talk to yall. Got my BNR alternator installed Friday evening along with an oil change, tire rotation and the usual 5k service items. Then put a little over 200 miles on the truck Saturday with the wife and kids. We ended up in Tuscumbia at some kind of Indian festival.

Oh yeah they are crazy right now, we've been seeing a lot of turkey's too. Bear season is just around the corner.

It's scheduled for Nov 30th. If things go as planned, I may be able to see long distance without glasses and only need them for reading.

 

What are you having done? Wife had that cataract surgery done and she now say's if she had to do it again she would have spent the extra and got the high dollar lenses put in so as not to wear glasses at all.

 

I'm getting the corrective lens.

 

Did they give you a choice of lenses?

 

They do. I can get the normal lens and still wear glasses, or get the $1700 one and not need them. You would think they would realize that after 5yrs of not having to pay for my glasses each year they'd start saving money.

super easy, took about an hour and a half to change it and the serpentine belt. So far I am pleased with the BNR alt.

word of advice, don't forget to plug the 4 wire connector back up on the side. I had it plugged in and had to unplug it to get my hand down there to get a bracket bolt in and forgot to plug it back up. Made it about a mile down the road before things started acting funny. Came back pissed because I thought it was a faulty alternator, Ripped the hood open only to find it that connector unhooked.

 

I'm going with the $1700 ones
