Well, it was a no go on that house. Found some remnants of fire damage still and the floor had some unevenness to it that made me think it got heated up and bowed in places from the fire (the floor didn't burn at all in the fire). So...on to the next one. How do people stay motivated house hunting? I hate it.

It take me almost a year to find what I needed, not want I wanted. Just had to live somewhere close to where my son was, and had to be very afordable.
Now I'm waiting on him to get through college, so I can aford what I want.
Don't rush house hunting; buying! AND, don't settle.

My wife and I spent almost 2 years looking and seriously about a month after we said fuck it and gave up. The house that fit all of our criteria minus the amount of yard popped up on Facebook that a friend of hers was selling oddly enough and we moved in 36days from the first time we saw it. From under contract to closed and moving in was 29 days. As others have said. Take your time. Don't settle. But when you find that one house that is perfect don't be afraid to jump on it

I'm on 285/70s with no trimming whatsoever. I am definitely willing to be part of the cutting of someone else's truck though haha

It took my wife and I a year to find something that fit us back in 2009. Even when we found what fit us it was missing some things. We had to make a list of what was most important to least important. It just takes time and I had the benefit of my late mom helping me because she was in real estate. Still took what seemed like an eternity.

My ex wife and I spent 1 day looking at what we thought was our price range. Hated everything. Added 50k to our price range, and had a contract on the house I am in now in 2 days. Total time spent shopping for a house, 4 days. There a few quirks to it, but I still love it 1 wife later and 10 years down the road. I was a bit house poor after the divorce thou.

I just put 285/70/R17's on my truck and I am rubbing with 8.5 inch rims and -6 offset. I have to replace the tie-rods and then go get an alignment to shift the wheels as far forward as possible. I'll know exactly what I need to start cutting after that, but I did trim the lower corner of the fender flares like Derrick. I may have to cab mount chop depending on what the alignment does. Don't listen to Scotty, he doesn't have fender flares, so he doesn't count.

Brian I know you have the SPC UCA's are they adjustable? If not may be time to finally go with the uniball design of the icon with +4.0 degrees caster to help alleviate that issue. Without having the alignment tech be responsible for getting them even.

I have the fully adjustable SPC's. Castor and camber on the top. I'm going out to the auto skills center on base and will be working directly with those guys to get it dialed in. I have a shitload of work to do on the truck for sure.

On a side note, may start looking for some new wheels. Now that my spare won't fit under my truck, I was trying to find another level 8 Guardian rim and apparently they don't make them anymore.

Tis true I don't have flares, or inner fenders. That's how you avoid cutting.

In other news, I finally just sold the old camper shell.

Don't hate it bud! I house hunted for a month and a half got tired of it, stopped looking with my agent, then finally she contacted me after 2 weeks making sure I was still interested; sent me a listing that was fresh on the market, looked at it that day, and purchased at the beginning of the next month.

It's frustrating but hey, at least your agent is good to look at! HAHA!

Haha my agent could look like Uncle Fester for all I care, as long as they are helpful and knowledgeable....and can put up with me. She's been great so far man.
