If they need anything reach out to me. We have power and water along with Internet. Internet was out for 5 hours today but it just came back.

 

Thanks, we're good the water never got close to the well. Our creek is back down to almost normal. We spent the day getting trees out of the creek and moving to a safe place so they don't get back into it. Internet went out for 5 hours today. Starting to see more pictures from the area. They say they pulled over 100 bodies out of the debris in Swannanoa NC today not sure yet if it's true. But when they released the reservoir it flooded everything down stream under 10 feet of water. Whole towns were under water and gone.
In Marshall the water gat inside the historic courthouse which is basically a second story building without a first floor.

Someone that does a lot of fishing around here told me , they’ve opened up 3 or 4 dams up here to help with relieving some of the water pressure up there .

 

Dams were compromised here for sure. Got a call today and dropped it from my plant. He told me that there was 5 feet of water flowing throughout the buildings and they think there's structural damage. They are paying us for the next 2 weeks. I offered to help go in to clean up. I like the job, I can cruise into retirement there if they open back up.

 

Heard on the news a lot of volunteer fireman trained in swift water rescues are headed up there to help out.

 

Their good, generators, gas, water, food and lots of wine. Thinking cell phone tower batteries might have run down in their area as I didnt get a response today. They are closer to Hendersonville than Ashville. Thanks for offer, help out whoever you can.

 

Talking with a group on facebook about getting supplies up to Black Mountain. They have drop off points but need rigs to deliver goods from drop off points to base camp in Black Mountain NC. Check out venture unknown on the facebook. This is a highly organized operation. Maybe we can convoy goods from Ellijay to Black mountain I dunno. I feel the pull by the Holy Spirit to help these people. There are multiple drop off points around GA to pick goods up and truck to NC.

Spent some of the day yesterday getting trees out of the creek with neighbor and his trackhoe and chainsaws.
We need to get the word out than the officials keep telling people to call or email or go to this website or that website. Come on GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS PUT YOUR THINKING CAPS ON ! THERE'S NO CELL SERVICE ONLY IN ASHEVILLE AND NO INTERNET.
