just counting down the min until i get off. Camp time!

 

Man I wish I was off. I can't wait til this "no tax" bill goes through. I work enough OT each month....it'll make a pretty good difference

 

I just hope employers dont cut back hours. It wont effect me but it will effect my wife.

 

Why would it effect the employers? Luckily, I won't have anything to worry about either way. Even with the 16hrs I work each paycheck....there's still days we're short. I could easily work almost everyday of the month

 

Question, any of you guys running Falken Rubiteks A/Ts?

It could increase their labor costs. More employees incentivized to work more hours (due to tax free) could increase the amount an employer has to pay employees. Could cause them to reduce overall overtime hours. Not sure if that would happen but its been tossed around.

 

If OT is available, the only way to get rid of it is to have enough help to cover it. It's cheaper for them to pay OT rather than all the shit that goes along with another hire(benefits/etc) At least in my setting. We have to have so many people on staff and the hospital has proven they'd rather pay a bit more in OT rather than have to cover an employee with benefits.

They do that shit all the time with part-time and per-diem employees that work full-time hours yet don't get the benefits(or pay double for insurance).
