IIRC, 16" is the smallest you can go on a 2nd gen without hitting the calipers. I don't know much about the 3rd gens but look into that before you pull the trigger. Just a heads up. I wouldn't figure the brakes to be much different on yours.

.308. I'm 4k rounds down the tube on it or so. Probably going to rebarrel to 260 when the time comes.

And a vortex viper pst 4-16.
Would love a gen 2 razor... one day.
Vortex has to be the best company on earth to their customers. I bent the shit out of my scope when I dropped the gun sent it back to them and told them I did it. Replaced the scope free of charge.

I think I'm going to take this weekend to clean up and do some stuff to the truck instead of riding. I haven't cleaned any of it since before choccolocco

Have you considered the 6.5 Creedmoor? I know there is not much difference in the 260 Rem. And the Creed. Mainly a sharper shoulder and longer neck on the Creed.

The Hornady ELD-X 143 gr. Has a G1 ballistic coefficient of either .623 or .625 which is much higher than most .30 cal rounds. I am guessing you reload for your rifle.

Have a Vortec Diamondback 4x16x42 with the BDC reticle which I like.

    Sorry for the thread hijack.

I have. When I first got the rifle the aftermarket support for creed wasn't the best. I think it has gotten considerably better though. I got the rifle as my first prs gun. .308 made me actually be on point with windage and yardage calls and it has a ton of options for powder, bullets, cases, ect. And rem sa of course because no other platform has the type of aftermarket support that does. The rock solid stock is absolutely great. But I was lucky. The owner was shit with CS and I was one of the few not local to him to actually recieve a stock. After many phone calls and emails anyway. Best stock I've ever been behind for such a rifle.

Just saw today the S&W Performance Center has added the 6.5 Creedmoor to M&P 10 AR style rifle.

It seems that many long range shooters are jumping on the 6.5 Creed bandwagon and compare the trajectory and windage to a 300 Win mag with much less recoil.

Be curious to see if any F Class shooters pick it up.

Well beyond my ability to shoot I'm sure. I should follow the prs series more than I do. Currently my money is going toward the motorcycle and truck. It's been awhile since I've invested in any firearm.

Thank ya!! I'm more have a handgun guy, really love taking handgun courses and training for self defense but something about long range shooting becomes addicting.

To be completely honest I wouldn't consider myself a gun nut. I own a remington 870 28" barrel for bird/duck hunting. Sig p938 for cc. Glock 19 for HD/ truck gun. Pse epix for bow hunting. Ruger 10-22. And the aforementioned rifle. Really just the essentials for hunting and self defense.
