It does. When you look at the mechanics of it though, and cost, you can get the idea. If you have to ground control it, then you need two wires for each circuit. This increases cost a LOT when you look at production costs. Picture this: This design would require approximately an extra 40 feet of wire (park lights, turn signals, brake lights) on average. Cost for a manufacturer? lets say $.02 per foot including harness manufacturing time. So this would increase production cost of a truck by $.80. Times 500,000 units = $400,000 in production costs. (yeah, It was one of the classes we took to get our automotive technology degree.

We cracked a couple 20 min ago. ;) Oskar Blues is selling beer in Alabama now, and we cut out early and picked up some Deviant Dale's.

If you see Dale's Pale Ale, Old Chubb, Deviant Dale's, Mama's Little Yella Pils, or Ten Fidy, pick some up. I'm gonna warn you up front though, it'll bite ya if you drink more than about 3.

Delicious beer though. Piggly Wiggly and Western Markets have them in B'ham.

Yeah the Terrapin is good stuff. One of the guys I've met through the land cruiser folks is one of the owners of Cahaba Brewing Company in down town B'ham. They have 2 beers on tap at various restaurants, an IPA called Oka Uba, and an amber ale called Liquidambar. Both are reaaaaally good. I think they may have distribution in Huntsville as well.

Gotta watch out. It sneaks up on you, hits you in the head, steals your wallet, and leaves you for hungover. It's stout.

When I press the brakes nothing happens, no dimming? No going out, nothing. When I pull the fuse , they go out but can still be turned on And off by the switch.

sounds like you have a bad brake switch. it should be right above the brake pedal. put a meter on it and see if it changes state... ya know open... closed... It's probably a $20 part. But so I am sure, you say you have parking lights... just no brake lights?

Yeah the first time I ever had anything high gravity I was drinking Chimay Grand Reserve, and had never had it before. I had three at dinner with my wife, and when I stood up to leave I thought, "holy hell... what happened? Babe, you're driving us home."

Stuff was strong. I think it's in the 10% neighborhood. That "Ten Fidy" is 10.5% stout from Oskar Blues. It's delicious. Perhaps not when it's 112 degrees outside though.

If they're CB walkie talkies it will... ;)

If they're FRS / GMRS / amateur radio, then nope.

Well I was out washing cars today and I look at my phone and see I have 20-30 missed calls. All from the fiance and mom..... Well it turns out the fiance was in a car wreck with the kids. LUCKILY they are all alright and we are here at the house sitting on the couch watching tv. She was changing lanes in Alabaster when an Alabaster Animal Patrol truck hits her. She checked blind spot, had blinker on, and was in the middle of changing lanes when he hit her. The bad part is he hit her in the front fender/bumper area. Now she needs a fender, bumper, headlight, supports, and everything in between. well that was my night. haha. Time for the car to go to the body shop and get an estimate on fixing it. Another good thing.... its got FULL COVERAGE. hopefully no money out of my pocket! I know it will make insurance go up but hey she needs a car to go places.

So let me get this right: Park lights stay on all the time. You pull the park light fuse, and they go out, but when you turn on the park lights from the switch, the lights will come back on?

VERY glad to hear they are OK. Fenders and paint can be replaced....

I'm happy to hear everyone is okay. You said he hit her though, shouldn't the state be paying for the repairs?

Yes. lights will come back on with the switch. I pulled the stop light fuse. Even with that fuse in the brake lights didn't work but the rear parking lights stayed on.
IDK about the state. maybe the county. I hope they will just write me a check and we can go get it fixed and maybe buy some other stuff for it.... cough cough, the truck! :D

Lol, that's what I was thinking. That shouldn't affect your insurance at all. :D
