Haha, you may be right. If that were the case, I just wouldn't do anything. I thought about just putting it up on craigslist after I get the miata straightened out... if someone bites, great, if not, I'll drive it into the ground as it sits.

Haha, hey man, you want my bumper, you have to find me a pyrite mica replacement. I have no way to put it back to stock.

Well, I have the metal, but I don't have a pyrite mica plastic cover.

Lol fuck no man, this isn't charity. :D Honestly, I doubt I'll sell. I'll probably just move on to playing with the miata more for a couple of years, until I finally decided I need a 4-seat vehicle, and then I'll upgrade.

Jim, I have the perfect vehicle for you to purchase as a toy! It's propane powered older Yota with SFA. I'll have to get a picture orbit when I get back to 280 though. I don't even know how much they are asking but one can dream!

I see that last sentence turning into a " you can dream about having your own truck" joke...

Haha, I need a toy hauler before a toy. I see a full-size in my future in the next couple of years.

Fully caged, flatbed, propane powered. Sure does sound nice. Can't weigh more than a Sammy? :notsure:

Mine? It isn't really for sale, since it's on the truck and I have no replacement plastic for the stocker, which was why I got it to begin with. Justin just wants it because he's a cheapass copycat and wants what I have all the time. :D

Are you talking about the green one on the side of 280 infront of that repair shop?

Didn't know it was for sale. Looked like they were just using it to hang their business sign on.

Haha, true to some extent. I'm getting a little tired of the crappy clutch in these trucks after 4 years, but yeah. True to an extent.

It's really wanting to be able to tow stuff for the first time ever - now I'm considering how nice it could be if i could tow to autocross or rallycross - plus how nice it would be to have a vehicle that can seat 4+ adults again. That's all.

Really wouldn't mind an older full-size to replace the truck, continue to DD the miata, and have a v8 that has no trouble with whatever toys i want to move around.

If only I could do that AND keep my current truck, but I'm not rolling in it, lol.

OR, a 4dr v6 taco. Towed just fine and fit four adults!

You could always pay a little more for a custom built trailer to save some weight (aka, wheel rails over full deck). You could tow just about any rig you want if you had a trailer that only weighed 1500 at most.

Nah, tows 6500lbs at limit, and you weren't comfortable with a CJ behind it. Frankly, I see why.

Even with just the miata on a typical car hauler, that's 4500lbs. A 3500lb samurai, there's 5700. I don't want to pull that around the mountains with a v6, when there are v8's falling all over the place and the gas mileage isn't very different.

That's the other thing, almost no gas savings. The only thing a taco can do a full-size can't is offroad, but I'm coming to see the light on not wheeling my nice truck, honestly...

well my cj was a large square block behind me. I woulda been just as fine with a tube buggy of some sort.

but yes, gas was horrific long distance. Like 10 mpg when towing long distance (4+hours).

We used kyles dads 2500 to tow my jeep and his jeep on a 27ft 5th wheel and still got like 15 mpg.

Yeah, I also meant like the economics of the truck purchase. I realize I'm on a taco site, lol, but honestly... if you're not gonna wheel it, a full-size costs the same a couple of years used, and can out-tow the shit out of a v6 tacoma with nearly identical gas mileage, plus way more interior room.

I no longer want to DD a truck that badly anyway, but my buddy with a 5.0L crew cab gets 19-20 highway, and 17-18 mixed. That's about what I understood the v6 guys to be getting, and frankly it's not much worse than what I get.

yep. I would consider getting a taco again, but purely because it would fit in my garage with the wall of tools and storage racks. If I got a full size I'd have to completely rearrange and move shit to the attic. but it would tow! I'll probably pick up an older used f150 in a few years.
