Need to replace the tire on my spare the same way, then I'll be good to go.

 

Still using he exploding tires, or did you get something else?

 

Haven't bought any yet. Was hoping to work out a deal trading someone for some 35's

I will say... despite the PITA of getting that ring out, being able to throw a tire on in the driveway with an impact wrench is money. I could do it in <45 minutes now that I know how to get the ring out.

 

Yeah, I priced tires for 16.5 wheels and holy shit those are expensive! The beadlocks would be nice, but I would have to run spacers with that backspacing with any tire bigger than a 33. I can get a set of 5 treadwrights, and a set of 5 steelies in the right backspace for about $300 cheaper then a set of 33's for a 16.5 wheel.

 

True. those 16.5s are expensive. Never could figure out who's bright idea to make 16.5 inch tires and rims.... I believe it was out government! lol.

Isn't Irwindale speedway the place the do all the figure eight racing, trailer racing, bus racing and all those other crazy races.

 

Poor sumbich wasn't fast enough, came outa nowhere and never had a chance to hit the brakes. Unfortunatly, it was a young buck coming out of one of our peanut fields instead of a doe.

 

That sucks! Time for an ARB! Lol

 

A front bumper was gonna be my next purchase, maybe I can get a body shop to put a good one on instead of fixing all the valance/bumper mounts, grille,blinker etc. back to stock which will be done away with very soon, anyway. Only a slight crack in the grille so I could live with that, if I had a real bumper.

Oh snap!!! Hmmmm u still looking for some 16 inch tires? What model ARB is it,would it fit my 1st gen.? Weight ?

 

It's cut to fit 35's. it will be about an inch or so from the edge of your fender well

 

You are lucky! I saw the results of a guy who hit a buck on Hwy 5, north of Brent. The Mercedes was TOTALED. Entire front end was destroyed.
