Alarm for 2001??

    Just bought my 2001 Tacoma and no key fob's came with where do i look to see if it has an alarm install that i can purchase key fob's for? THANKS!

    01 SR: Double Cab conversion, S/C, lowered.
    There's no such thing as a factory alarm on a 2001 Taco.

    A Toyota-branded *accessory* alarm could have been installed at the point of sale. If this happened, the main module should be installed behind the left kick panel.

    K&N panel/ snorkel removed Keyless
    I posted a thread that's now in the DIY section about installing aftermarket keyless. An alarm wouldn't take much more. Hope it helps.

    OP... PM me your VIN and I can look up all the options your truck came with when I get back to work monday if you'd like. It'll show if keyless entry is on vehicle. Alot easier than taking interior apart to try and find box, then again that'll give you something to do if your bored haha
