This may have been discussed before, but I found out the hard way this morning my 2019 TRD Sport has a factory alarm. Placed a battery tender on the truck last night, lowered the hood but not latching it completely. I then locked the truck for the night.

Early this morning I went to raise the hood (before unlocking the truck) to remove the cables and all hell broke loose... horns blaring! I should have unlocked the vehicle first before attempting to raise the hood. I hope this helps someone from making the same mistake I did.

That’s why I like my 2020. The app tells me if I leave something unlocked or open. With all the vehicle burglaries here it’s a nice reminder to lock things up.

Just hit the unlock button on the key fob... that will silent the alarm.
