    will the Viper 5901 keychain take the place of my stock remote? or will i have to have two?

    i believe it will replace... it replaced on my friends vw. If she dosnt use the viper and uses the stock fob it will set off the viper alarm

    yes, the viper remote will replace the toyota stock remote. you'll get the viper lock/unlock and alarm and remote start (if you take that option). the 5901 is a good alarm. you should have the installer use progressive lock/unlock if you have a double cab and tied with dome light. if you have a dealer or port alarm, you will also need a bypass as well. all the dei products and brands are basically the same too, e.g., clifford. make sure you get a good installer unless you are doing it yourself. i suggest putting the alarm light in one of the unused plugs on the lower left and the valet reset behind the fuses. no need to put the antenna on the mirror, you can have it under the dash.

    for the viper 5901 i think you are suppose to pay a small extra charge for the light.........

    i don't want anyone knowing its got an alarm, cause then they might get up under the hood or somthing and i would be scewed, but they go to pull the door handle an alarm would go off correct?

    i just ordered the viper 5901 with tilt sensor and glass break sensor... someone goes for the back window or leans over to steal sumthing from my bed, it shuld go off
