alarm will not turn off

    :mad:bought a 2001 tacoma step side from a friend and it only came with one remote switch, and now the remote wont lock/unlock the door or trun the alarm off/on, was woundering if someone could tell me how to bypass it to drive it to the nearest toyota co. and get a new alarm system or just fix it:mad:

    ^^^ I'd try what tigerfan said first and foremost.


    Is the alarm factory? If not, what brand?

    You should be able to bypass the alarm by using the 'valet' button if it is an aftermarket setup.

    thanks for the info, in remote sensor was broken so i just bought a new one, i tryed the battery and it was not the problem, but its done thanks again
