Both are good systems. I prefer Autopage for the price. Can't personally comment on Viper alarms but my past 3 vehicles and current 2 have Autopage systems. I have the model similar to the one shown with the long range LCD remote w/starter. Been happy with the dependability of the units. Overall, you can't go wrong with either one but installation is the most important factor. Find a good local shop that specializes in auto security and check out their work. (AVOID Bestbuy, Circuit City..etc...)

What are you worried about them stealing your vehicle or getting into it?

No matter what if they want something in your truck they'll get it sadly.....

Auotpage is the one I was leaning towards just because of the features it has for the price vs the Viper.

I more want a remote start but if I'm going to do that I might as well get the one with an alarm. I have a lot of money in to my truck..espically the stero..more or less the alarm will not keep people from taking what they want...but might help to keep people honest.

If you really want to be secure and feel better get a two way (not sure which you are looking didn't look at it).

But a two way will tell you if something is wrong.
