    I'm at my work buying new terminal clamps and I'm going to clean them up and redo them to see if that's the problem. I just hooked up a battery tester and my battery is only putting out 335 CCA when it's rated for 550. So I'll pick up a new battery next week when I get paid too.

    Anyone run a CB in their truck? I have one on mine but the range really sucks, I would say hi to other tacos if I could tell they had a CB whip.

    Yeah, I was thinking the same thing..

    It's unfortunate about his son. But, looking at it some of the wiring looks a little shoddy, and that diesel is pretty tiny to be lugging around that camper w/o a re-gear..

    It would still be epic though.

    We should put in a new ground for you. I bet Ive got some 0 or 4 gauge laying at home we can use. only takes like 6 inches of it. It makes a big difference!

    I ended up just cleaning the battery posts and terminals the best I could. They were pretty greasy. The terminals I bought don't exactly work with how my ground wire is attached to the terminals I have on there now. I tried finding where the ground wire attaches to the chassis but I had no luck.

    Oh we will find it dangit. lol. Its a good idea to upgrade. for example when i put my audio system in before i put the ground wire in, the sub hitting would dim my headlights. upgrade the ground wire, bam, no more dimming lights lol

    Yeah for sure. I didn't really look but the wire looked like 6 gauge. From the negative terminal there is the main 6 gauge wire that goes into a wire loom towards the bottom of the truck, and then there is another probably 14 gauge wire going straight to the inside of my driver side fender. Like a 4 inch piece. Not exactly sure what that's for.

    That little 4 inch piece is what we replace. thats the main ground to the truck. By making it a little bigger we allow more continuity. Makes for less dimming :)

    Oh holy crap haha. I would never have guessed that would be the main ground. :eek: I'll replace that while I'm working tomorrow. So you say 0 to 4 gauge would be best?

    bigger the better :) but 4 gauge is fine too
