There's a thread in the first gen section of a guy that plastidipped his whole truck you could hit him up and see how it's holding up.

Yeah theres a couple guys that have done it. The vinyl though, seems like once its torn its compromised. I guess there'll be armor protecting the front and rear and sides so rock chips won't be AS prevolent....hmmm i may have to call CCA monday and get a quote.

There's always tree branch striping though lol I do remember in a thread where a guy had done his truck he had said the same thing that if that plastidip gets torn or peels you can re do that panel fairly easy but the vinyl wrap not so much

Yea. This is the first time I've had a problem. Heck, I bought the tires brand new from them last spring and they ran smooth all summer. My family owns Pied Piper Pest Control. Our place is a half block down 88th from AK Tire. We do alllllll of our vehicle tire swaps there. Fast and convenient.

If the vinyl gets scratched or peeled you just redo that panel. More expensive than plastidip, but you can still just have them redo it

Don't plastidip your truck Ben. It wouldnt last through a summer. I plastidiped my grill on my Audi and it didn't last long at all with our weather and all the rocks. It would look amazing right after but I can almost promise you that by the time you got home you will be able to find one or two spots that were already effected by the elements. Not to mention plastidip can't be repaired like paint. Once you get a spot that starts peeling you have to take it all off and do it over again. It won't bond to itself like paint after sanding it down. The only thing that may make it last a little longer would be to use a clear coat or a type of lacquer over the entire thing to make it stronger. I didn't that to the interior trim pieces inside the Audi and they lasted a lot longer but then again they weren't exposed to the elements like the outside of the car so I couldn't even really tell you if that would really help or not.

In other news, I bought a new knife today. Benchmade 580s. I love it. Super well made. Feels bullet proof.

I love my benchmade knives. I would have a dozen if I could keep myself from losing them.

Speaking of bullets, I have to go requalify for work Wednesday at Birchwood for firearms. Should be interesting with all the snow. Last year my barrel of my shot gun fell off during mid timing.
