It's Matt. No I didn't get any instructions from him. It's ok, I've decided to hold off for now until I can look into it more and learn more about. Probably do it when I finally get to a retrofit. I greatly appreciate the input though!

I got the 17in Method Race Standards matte black, with 33in General Grabber Red Labels. Should be on by the 8th meet, which by the way I will be attending, I just don't know how to add my name to the list haha. Please forgive my ignorance.

Yes I'm in Richardson, when are supposed to be up here?

So random question for yall. Whats the best/cheapest place around anchorage to pick up a mattress set? I just recently moved into my own apartment before i left to come down here. Was chilling on a futon, but that was only cool for about 2 days lol Probably gonna go for a queen, not too worried about a frame and stuff for now, jus a box spring and mattress.

the krylon plastic paint is awesome. I have used it a few times. No priming required. Not sure what you are painting but krylon is the shit!

I'm using it to black out my reflectors when doing my headlight retrofit. Maybe I'll reconsider krylon...

Craigslist. If you want a bit 'newer' one, I think the mattress ranch has the most commercials.

Got my projectors in today. Went ahead and picked up a can of Krylon satin black, too. I think I'll like the satin look rather than flat black anyway. I set everything up on my kitchen counter and think I know what I'm doing, haha. The only "mod" I'm going to do is to chop off the in-line fuse they supplied and replace it with a good waterproof one like this:

    P7060017_3456b36c041199ab9e47ad8a61825da392cce19d.jpg

And then I think I'll replace another plug that I thought was cheesy and not very sealed. Can't remember the exact one though.

As a Pest Management point of view, I can not stress anymore the importance of a frame for your mattress/box spring. I don't know where you moved in to, or what the building is like, but we have a pretty steady population of bed bugs in Anchorage. Bed frame will get the bedding off the floor and make it a tad tougher for the insects to get to their food (you). I HIGHLY recommend NOT buying used and I would say be very careful about how you go about buying. Spring for new, if possible. I think Mattress Ranch probably is a good inexpensive option. Hope this helps!

I will. I'm planning on taking pics/video along the way in case anybody wants another write-up. I know there are many out there already, but another couldn't hurt if someone needs it.
