Anna there's the Hicks Creek Lodge at mp 97, & Long Rifle Lodge at mp 102. I've never stayed at either of them but I always thought that Long Rifle looked really nice. I think there used to be King Mountain Lodge also, but I heard they closed a couple years ago

Sheep Mountain Lodge is about ten miles past Long Rifle. Majestic Valley Lodge is about five miles past. There is quite a bit on the strip of road by the glacier.

How was it? I want to do mine either before or at the beginning of winter. I've never attempted anything like it but I know Ben and I believe a few others on here have, wasnt sure if anything was different on ours from the 05-11's

Don't think so. I set the oven for 265 and left them in for seven minutes. The glue came apart like butter. Definitely mount the projectors in with screws as well as adhesive. And a dremel makes the job super easy.

Which retro kit are you looking at doing? I did the mini H1 and like them. Super easy. I'm thinking of upgrading them though.

I'm not sure yet I haven't looked into it too hard. I kinda wanna see the outputs in person to see the difference. I'm sure I'd be fine with minis but at the same time I feel like why not go all out and get the big boys the first time and never mess with it again

Fxr's were what I had in my truck. Amazing output. Since you're mostly streeting your rig I'd go for it. Don't bother with the demos ballasts though. Morimotos are waterproof and built just as well.

Why do you say go with the FXrs if he's "streeting" it? Would you not want them off road? That's what I'm lookin at swapping in mine. The minis are fine not the best output on them. And one side keeps giving me issues.

I had issues with the D2S bulbs that took a me little while to figure out. Had to bend the prongs that go to the bulb in to get good connection. Also, bulbs make a huge difference. I would only use Philipps or Morimoto. I used some cheap ones briefly that flickered constantly.

Has anyone in this Alaska thread ever done any business with a place called Family Flee Market? They pretty much act as a middle man for all kinds of purchases. In this case those purchases would be gear and mods for their tacomas. Anyone?

I would not do business with them personally. Too many horror stories in the wheeling community about them selling stolen goods. I went in there and prices out tires and they quoted me 700 above Amazons price on 4 tires.

Thanks for the input guys :D Yeah, I had placed an order with them that I was going to pick up down there during labor day weekend, but after giving it more thought I came to the discion to just cancel it all. I'm still in the process of this actually. So far I've only got him to cancel pretty much everything but the lift.
