Well... I chickened out on the water crossing, I couldn't see some of the boulders and the water was pretty high from all the rain. EDIT There were some ATVs that made it across, but I saw them on the other side after I was heading back, if I had seen where they had crossed I might have gone for it, maybe... Water is pretty sketchy, especially since I have a pieced together intake that isn't finished...

There where a ton of other little trails around that I hit. Got stuck once, but put it in reverse and forward gears about 20 different times while turning the wheel and luckily got out without getting wet. Learned I need to rock some Mud Terrains for next summer or whenever I get new tires.

Really need to weld those sliders on too. Had one really close call today.

The range was crowded though, so we just left.

I went out to hatcher pass on Saturday, and it was beautiful, amazing fall colors were in and it was quite sunny, got some funny looks going up a mining trail by some guys in chevys, couldn't tell if it was cause I was driving a toyota or because I was going on the trail with a brand new vehicle still equipped with temp licence plates and stock tires :D, I was very impressed with the capability of my regular cab tacoma, 4lo worked like a charm, and only had one spot where locking diffs would of been nice, but I took a different approach to the trail and it got by fine. didn't take too many picture cause my phone was nearly dead so I just got one.

I went up that same trail on Friday. It gets pretty narly if you keep goin up the switchback. Some sliders would be nice, I thought I was going to rub a couple times.

Looks like Kyles are taking over the AK boards!

Yeah I went a decent ways up the switch back then decided to turn around, it was getting late and I didn't feel to comfortable continuing up the road, I also went down another trail further down the main road, which was also fairly rocky

I was up at Hatcher's Pass yesterday as well. Where is that trail at? I went up a road just before Independence Mine but just a little ways to a hiking trail.

Drop over Summit lake and follow the road probably a mile down the backside and it will be that first turn on the right... You can see the old run down mine from the turn off. Its only a couple miles long but still neat to check out.

Pin stripes FTW! If it's the trail I always take, I love it haha. It opens up after the tree branches and is pretty awesome.

x2 its a fun trail! Just bumpy... Guess I need t get some 33's and air them down to get more sidewall flex. A rear locker would be nice too if I ever want to make it to the top again though.

I want to go up there again before winter. May do that this weekend and attempt to fish some Parks streams as well.

I will have to do my LBJ's on Saturday after welding the sliders on if I can get time at the UAA welding shop on Saturday. Has anyone changed their UBJ's on a first gen? I know it can be done without a press, but might be a lot easier to use one. Where could I use one or have it done for cheap?

    Im broke...

These are on sale at Grainger. I picked one up and thought I can throw a couple pistols in it? Pretty good deal at $24 I see them new online in the $60 range.
