True, Warn is more common. I still have my Smittybilt XRC Comp 9.5. Only really needed it twice and it worked both times. Pretty much drug me up a 40 degree muddy slope with tree roots, second time I pulled a Nissan Hardbody back onto an icy trail. I didn't want to pull them with a snatch strap because I was worried they would slide down the hill and into me. Tested it a number of times and its always worked.

It works, but line speed is soooooo slow under heavy load. Free spooling is actually really hard with it even after replacing the stock brown sludge grease it came with. Also I had to slightly modify the selector knob as it would try and go past lock. So I'm not all that satisfied with it lol. But it was cheap off of craigslist, brand new unopened. If it ever dies I'll replace it with a Comeup or a Warn.

I ordered my ARB through Ebay for $1450 shipped. The invoice listed shipping at $190 through a freight company. If you aren't stuck in CVT you can order a Tepui through REI, with an additional 20% off right now if you're a REI member. Free store pickup too.

Didn't GTF just place a CVT tent order? If you can get in on one of their bulk orders shipping wouldn't be bad.

Sweet, I'll probably get in contact with GTF soon. Thanks for your fast replies.

Installed my Pelfreybilt sliders and hybrid front bumper over the last two days. No real issues with the install process other than splitting the bridge of my nose open when the torque wrench slipped off a nut. Freaked my wife out when I walked inside with blood all over my face. A few paper towels and some super glue and I was back in business.

I went with a Warn Zeon 8 and bought their synthetic line to replace the cable. A little more expensive than just buying the 8S but the shop up here didn't have any in stock or on order. The $100 rebate Warn is offering now helps even it out as well.

The winch fits fairly well in the hybrid bumper. Given the large size of the winch and control pack mounted on top I had to remove the horizontal piece the grill mounts to and trim back some of the vertical rib in the middle of the radiator support. With the bumper mounted at the lowest point and the winch mounted all the way forward the grill clips back in nicely. There is plenty of clearance for the AC line and looks to be enough space to mount the light bar when it arrives.

I need to borrow a grinder with a cut off wheel to trim the factory front skid plate in order to fit. It has a front lip the interferes with the base of the bumper and won't allow the bolts to line up with their holes. Also need to do the foglight anytime mod. The two LED cubes are wired to one foglight plug, the light bar will be wired to the other. Keeps the install clean and easy by not having to run wires and a switch into the cab.

Looks good. If you're ever down here in Anchorage you can borrow my angle grinder.

I forgot I had a sawzall, so the skid is no longer a problem. It's not a clean, pretty cut but it fits now. It will provide at least a little protection until I get around to getting a real skid plate since it's really just a fancy splash guard from the factory.
