A second truck or trees to winch from would make it easy. Not as much fun burying a tire alone to build an anchor.

Headed down through Anchorage now, cutting back over through Glenallen, and driving out to Nabesna. Total change of plans from what I originally wanted to do this weekend but way better than just sitting at home.

No, but the tires started digging instead of rolling so I stopped and put out the TREDs. The mud was super thick and gooey in most places, had to have some speed or it would just gum up the tires and start pulling the truck in deeper.

In that picture I had decided to stop going down that trail because it was looking pretty swampy farther down it. Reversing from a stop in 2wd is what got me started digging in that time.

It does look pretty mushy in that spot. Good call on turning around. Probably like that because everything is still melting out there.

It was still snowing up there. Definitely too early in the year.

Could anybody here help a brother out? lol I'm having some serious balancing issues with my new tires that I bought and was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me put their wheels and tires on my truck to make sure it's not my truck that's having the issue and that it's just the wheels/tires. I could compensate ya. Just trying to get this headache of a problem sorted out. Thanks guys

Yeah still a bit early but weather is crazy lately. Had light snow at my house last night in Eagle River. Like I said if you'd wanna go again later this summer maybe in July I'd be down to go with you

Another reason to love Alaska. A roadside public outhouse not completely covered in graffiti and feces.

@crazysccrmd there are some other trails between here and Fairbanks. Check out trailsoffroad for the trailhead locations and on the four I've done already everything you'd want to know for the trails. If you'd like to help we'd be happy to have another Alaskan contributor on board.

This goes for anyone really. I really enjoy doing them now

How do those MTRs ride on your rig anyways? Lol always loved the lool of em but could never justify buying a set because of the MPG. Sick tires though. I appreciate the offer a lot but might wanna shoot for a less aggressive tire to try on my rig first lol I wonder if those dirty 7s would even let me turn  I'll keep it in mind though just in case!

The ones along the Seward highway are gross during winter. That's impressive

Ride great. I'm really just breaking them in still. Now I do have wobbles and rattles as I drive down the highway but I think most of that is from my shitty rear driveline setup I'll fix sometime.

Costco balanced them on steelies without any issues or excessive weights.

 I wouldn't mind meeting people. Where is it? I'd have to uber (is that even a thing here?) or catch a taxi over and back though as my bicycle isn't ready yet haha.

Also, seen three modded Yotas in the one day I've been here so far! Not sure if it's anyone on here though.

No ride sharing here. The cab drivers got too upset that it was taking their business. I haven't heard any spot for meeting. Anywhere you had in mind @SnowroxKT?
