Nice. I went up there last September and there wasn't snow down to the road yet, even in Atigun Pass.

So yesterday... I went out near the ski area, ski land i think that a local guy from a "goat squad" fb group told me about. I think i took one of the "don't do this turn" sections though. Ended up on a steep descent that was rutted to hell, no spot to turn around other than backing up a long way. It quickly turned into an ATV width trail.

I got down but was very close to putting her on her side on the last rutted to fok hill. Never been so thrilled to see a house with a regular suv parked in the driveway.

I'll probably roll south tomorrow and be back Tuesday'ish.

I did a little of that myself today. Explored some new trails and got a lot of new pinstripes on the narrow atv paths.

I don't think I added any pin stripes, mainly because I think i already have all I can get. But I was decently worried about getting to an "end" and having to retrace my route of there wasn't any other option.

I'll probably be hanging out in that area for a couple days if you or any other Fairbanks people are up for a trail or a beer.

After that I'll be taking the scenic route to Anchorage.

Where to buy Weathertechs up here without shipping direct? Hopefully will be buying 2 SUV's worth in the next year and looking for a local vendor. Cabela's says they really don't order them in or stock them unless you have a 2007 Ford lol.

I think most shops will jack up the price to get it here anyway. I got mine from Autoanything. They always have coupons running on their page and shipping is fast and reasonable.

Regarding WeatherTech floor mats, if you order on Amazon be sure which set you order.
(my story)There were 2 product numbers available for the 2012 and they sent the one that didn't fit well. Of course I didn't realize that until too late. Not saying anything was sketchy, just when you have to order by vehicle model instead of product number they sub whatever the book says will fit.

That was just before we got prime. They were on sale and after shipping it came out to list price iirc.

This little guy will change some things for me, Roxanne will be his truck when he gets bigger so he's pretty lucky there.
Colton, just a few minutes after birth.

Hey AK fellas. I got to say that you dudes live in amazing place. In July my family and I took a road trip from Delta Junction to Homer. It was incredible. My inlaws live in Delta and we will be going back next summer to visit again. Oh and I've been lurking on your AK thread for a while hah.
We rented a tundra when we landed in Fairbanks and drove Fairbanks to Delta and then Delta down to Kenai. It was incredible. The matanuska glacier was mind blowing as well as the other scenery. Right on brothas. Can't wait to drive there someday in my Taco. Peace

Here's two pictures from my AK adventure. You Anchorage dudes know exactly where the first pic is located. Second picture is the rental Tundra from Fairbanks located outside of Anchorage somewhere. Alaska was amazing.

Ug. Driving to Wasilla tomorrow. From Homer. At least it’s for a good reason...hearing protection, brought to you by Silencerco. I’ll be staying with a friend in Anchorage, but we’re going to be downtown for dinner and drinks. Anyone going to be around?
