Oh I know lol, I do appreciate the help and guidance. All this has come up within the last week or so.I haven't looked at any of the wiring yet but I did find a 3rz engine mount conversion that uses the factory 79-80 whatever it is mounts.

man, havent updated you guys in awhile lol, a lot has happened in the last 3 weeks or so. finished up getting the timing cover gaskets replaced, but what I ended up doing was buying an engine hoist/load leveler/engine stand and taking the entire motor apart and replacing all the other gaskets. Cleaned up the motor as best I could, didnt replace the intake gaskets though since i dont see any issues with them; if they eventually need to be replaced, all that can be done with the motor in the truck.

Removed the bed while I was at it too since it is pretty much done lol, got new motor mounts since the ones in the truck were severely done, got the pilot bearing installed along with the new clutch and cover. Tomorrow hopefully the motor and trans will get put back in and I will be able to hopefully start driving the truck again....lol

Thanks man! I can't wait to get this baby fired up again! It's been far too damn long lol. She's gonna have to stay like this for awhile though. I way over spent getting her where she is now lol. So I'm gonna get all my credit card debt paid off and THEN continue lol

got the trans bolted to the motor yesterday evening, motor is going in hopefully today, but I still gotta mess with the crank and cam to make sure they are lined up properly. crank looks like its at 8* BTDC and the cam is still at the 12 o'clock position. pretty sure they need to both be at 12

One step closer to firing Aleu up! Motor and trans are back in and crossmember bolted up. Just need to finish up putting everything together and fill her up with fluids, and then lastly bleed the new slave cylinder

Looking at the heads of the trans mount bolts, you may want to get a rectangle piece of plate to sandwich the frame.

what's this? Aleu drives finally! after getting everything back in yesterday and her not wanting fire at all and it getting dark, decided to take a break and get back to it today. well, today I replaced all the fuel lines in the engine bay and the fuel filter and filled the tank up with 5gal of gas and for some reason the fuel decided it wanted to make its way to the carb finally lol. The only issue im running into now is when the clutch and brake get pressed, the motor dies and I have to restart. BUT i think i may know whats causing that

EDIT: sorry for the shitty video lol, kind of hard to drive a push pull steering with one hand haha

    photo dump!

today was a good day! got Aleu fired up and for a stroke of luck....the transmission fucking works....finally lol, I can drive her around again. not sure what the issue was yesterday as to why the motor didnt want to fire at all, but today I ran to autozone and got all new fuel lines and fuel filter for the engine bay, put 5 gallons in the tank and the gas decided it wanted to make its way to they carb lol. doesnt run perfectly right now, but it runs...and that's all that I was wanting it to do. the brake booster needs a new vacuum line, right now I just have it all capped off since the line isnt working properly as everytime I hit the brakes the motor died; so ill have to deal with old fashion brakes until i make my way to autozone again.

But my timing was pretty spot on! for a first time messing with it....I actually managed to get the crank and cam aligned and got the distributor relatively correct, there's some adjusting that needs to be done, but the motor runs and im happy

got the doors, hood, dash, and grille back on today. Went and zip tied the crap out of the wiring harness to make it look nicer so the wires arent just loose everywhere. Fixed my headlight wiring issue I was having with the column switch connection AAAANNND I FINALLY mounted my headlight switch to the dash piece so instead of just being zip tied to the column, it's bolts to the dash now. nice and stiff and is really fun to switch on and off lol. The best part is I got my Toyota name emblems in the other day and she finally has her name badge on the dash!
