Really nice to have most of everything I'm needing in the same spot. Keep doing what you guys do! I will be buying from you guys again!

Yup, that's the plan, I found some 83 leafs for sale on ebay, I just don't have cash right now to get the lift lol. The truck is just going to get street able right now so I can drive it at least and do some mild wheeling

Thanks! Damn haha, that's crazy lol

Mine was off-yellow, and a beast in the new england winters. Nowhere I couldn't go in snow or mud. Keep the pics coming.

got the last of the parts (for now) in so I can officially start working on the pickup!!!! Rotors for the 84/85 axle and wheel studs as well. only thing im missing is wheel spacers so my TRD offroad wheels from my Tacoma can fit on the 80. But I can run on the shit tires that are on there for a couple more days lol. (Ignore the 35" tire sitting there lol, thats for my Tacoma whenever I get a matching wheel for it haha. Thanks to @Low Range Off-Road for having damn near everything I needed

really? I didnt know that, ive seen some people run 80/83s for their swaps. I guess it just depends lol, Ill look for 84+ leafs to do my swap then

You should buy my 16" MTRs so I can move to 17"ers.

Forget for a minute that I'm biased and am trying to off-load 33's on you lol,

Why are you sold on 35's?

Because they are damn near the same price as the 33s, plus I get more height and more traction when airing down. Also....I love the look of 35s and 15s lol, even more than 35s and 16s haha

Less up travel on one side equals less down travel on the other side.
    One inch more ground clearance.
Needs gears, whereas 33's could use them but not as necessary.
More rotational mass equals less stopping power.
33's come in widths comparable to 35's. One inch of extra sidewall doesn't make that much more of a foot print when aired down.
Need to lift higher to clear without body mods creating a higher center of gravity.
Or need to clearance the body more, or relocate the axle, high steer, etc.

It's a light and little truck, and I think 35's begin to take it away from that quality. In Hawaii we keep them low for trail clearance and small tires for full travel. The aggressive tread is what really matters, ie Boggers, KM2s, MTRs, Tractor tires.

    Plus...you have a truck on 35's already.

    Food for thought.

Well, she's black and from 1980 which is the year that AC/DC's Back in Black album was released. That's instant karma right there.

If you don't want to name her the album name, some notable songs from that album are Hells Bells, Shoot to Thrill, What Do You Do For Money Honey, Givin The Dog A Bone, You Shook Me All Night Long (probably appropriate for a 1980 truck!), Have A Drink On Me, and my personal favorite, Let Me Put My Love Into You.

I'd go with Back in Black though, just 'cause.

I think you should show everyone the glass etchings, then decide on a name haha.

We shall not talk about those etchings lol. I just want something tall and gnarly looking. I've been swapping back and forth between 33x12.5s and 25x12.5s, just haven't made my mind up yet lol

I'm finally gonna hopefully be able to work on the truck tomorrow at the hobby shop and get a lot done. Fluid swaps, front axle rebuild, new studs, brakes front/rear, id like to get the transwers put in as well. But I doubt I'll get it all done haha

got some stuff done today, put my new tail light housings in, pulled the radiator and flushed it out with replacing the upper and lower radiator hoses; also installed new calipers and hardlines since the old ones were pretty much done lol. Took the truck to the hobby shop are started to rebuild the front end....honestly thought we'd get it done in couple hours...nope, got half of the driver side done, I guess I have some unreal expectations haha. So the truck got left at the hobby shop until Tuesday when they open back up again. REALLY want to get this all done and get the new trans in and all! oh well, Tuesday ill be back to finish the front end up.
