engine is finally completely torn apart now, just need to bring it to the machine shop to get the work done and I can start reassembling the 3rz. it's awesome to have the proper tools to remove the valve spring locks haha

    Plans:
    - 0.040 bore
    - clean block/head
    - machine the deck and head surface
    - stage 1 port/polish
    - machine shop install freeze/galley plugs

so i found out that one of the hubs i got is off an 83 and the other is off an 84, so the 83 is mounted differently and I need to swap it out for another 84/85.....lol. Gonna work on the front axle tomorrow then since I cant install the full float, ill be able to get my steering installed and get the axle cleaned up tomorrow

Curious why you're going .040 over?

eventually I want to put a turbo on, the forged internals are 0.040 over to begin with. so I figured just go with 0.040 now and then I can just swap the internals for forged when the time comes

because I don't have the money for the forged internals lol, I have to use that money for seats and sliders.

nope not for the forged option on the rebuild kit section. I didn't see those initially but I have to get chromo rods to use the 0.020 over pistons. nothing wrong with doing 0.040 over, this 3rz is getting some nice upgrades put in, so why not do 0.040 over and that way I have a choice of 3 different compression ratios when I do upgrade

Was just curious because usually it's .010, .020, 030. 040 is a full mm over and just takes a lot of usable life out of the block. Forged, aight, question answered.

yeah LCE only offers the .020 and .040 for the 3rz, these blocks are so robust anyways, but yeah, im gonna throw forged internals in when I decide to throw a turbo on the little block. How's your other car coming along? I guess you could say im future proofing the engine lol. forced induction is down the road, just not anytime soon sadly

Been driving it to work for the past couple weeks. A few hiccups, alt went out. Other than that, she's running great for 200+ thousand miles.

I really need to knock out the truck suspension, which was the reason I started driving the Integra. Just keep getting distracted with other projects on my weekends.

35's, TC +2 long travel, Kings with adjusters. While I'm in there, new spindles, bearing assemblies.

well a couple more things on the way, new timing cover and balance shaft delete. didn't feel like dealing with cleaning my current cover and drilling the stripped oil pump screws out. balance shaft delete kit will be another thing I'm doing for down the road when I do forced Induction, just get it out if the way now.

also need to find a new rear seal housing as the one I have had a good size chip missing from the bottom of it
