-PAXP-deijE_ca120413b5b20426185d7e796cb346d8957e829e.gifalrighty here we go lol, a lot has gotten done. Finally found a throttle cable that works, finished up all the fabrication on the cab and got it primed, shock braces welded in and hoops painted, engine and valve cover cleaned up and painted, cab undercoated, rear end squared away with 5125 12" shocks and cut the ubolt plates to fit with the axle relocation plates, steering column installed and new steering box put in, high steer painted and correctly installed with the sector shaft nut and washer, fenders got mocked up and trimmed, cleareanced the brake booster from the steering shaft and clutch master from the booster, installed fender mirrors, got some ACTUAL doors that work lmao, 3 core radiator from LCE Performance, got the driver seat installed with sound deading on the floor boards and the seat belt installed too, put together my -6 AN fuel lines and ran the return fuel line, got both driveshafts installed finally, all 3 shifters are in after cutting the floor boards to fit lol, and all new brake lines and clutch lines ran front to back. There are things im missing...but this is all that comes to mind lol. At this point all I need are power steering lines, button a few things up, drop the wiring harness in, and get a battery and she'll be ready to fire for the first time in 3 years

    That is some serious progress...
Do have any pictures of the booster modification prior to install? Trying to fit a 93 booster in my 85. Thanks.

I dont think I took any before the install, but what I did was installed the booster into the firewall and bolted it in and then installed the steering column to see where it rubbed. Then I just took a big enough section from the lip on the bottom portion, cut slits in and bent them outwards to clear the steering shaft. Same thing for the clutch master

good news as of yesterday, I found a 3rz PS pump to 90s IFS steering box conversion on LCE Performance, so I have that squared away, now just hoping I get it by saturday lol. LCE is usually pretty quick with USPS priority shipping

check out what showed up a day early lmao, LCE Performance never fails when it comes to USPS shipping. power steering conversion lines showed up a day early. Also went to pensacola today and picked up some much needed small parts. clutch pedal and brake pedal are now both properly pinned in place with the return springs connected. just need a few more things and everything is all set

welp, so much for a startup this past weekend. I was so close, and then I dropped the nut for the coilpack bracket into the timing cover and down into the oil pan (luckily i didnt fill ANYTHING up yet). in the process of getting it out, my crank sensor broke, balance shaft sprocket broke, and my oil pan got a bit bent. so now that half the engine is taken apart, I think i found the part on toyota oem parts and ordered it first thing this AM; that'll be here tomorrow. then just need to wait on the new crank sensor and I can put everything back together and try again lmao.

i guess the silver lining of all this is that I can actually put my new timing chain on instead of using the old 200k original...not my ideal way of replacing it....but hey...itll be going on lmao. hoping this next weekend she'll be driving

alright more updates haha, got the engine put back together with the new balance shaft sprocket, cams back in, pan sealed back up, and accessories put back together. Most of the wiring harness is ran and put in place, just need an engine ground and extend the VSS (or so i think it is) plug so it can reach the back of the tcase. Also extended the fuel pump and fuel sender wiring since the tank is in the bed at the moment. That should wrap up the wiring hopefully. Got the rear running brake line secured to the frame rail and got the rear most soft line bracket welded in place. Welded in the clutch line bracket to the frame since the factory spot no longer exists after repairing the floor pan from rust. Other than that, just need to finish making the engine ground (and hoping all grounds are good), extend the vss plug, fill everything up and bleed the brakes and clutch lines...then, we can have the first fire up! was supposed to be today, but I had other things I NEEDED to get done for this week for work. So tomorrow after work im going to work more on this and try to get this wrapped up!

    appreciate it man! haha

alright well, no idea whats wrong, but all the engine is doing is slowly cranking over and its not even remotely trying to fire at all. I really dont even know where to start. its leaking oil, fuels leaking, found residue on the back of the block. Really dont even know what to do or where to even start trying to fix this....literally this past month has just been hell for me. im about to give up on this
