May want to use rust inhibitor or paint after you clean before you start the wiring...

Got the dash painted a semi gloss to make it look half decent from its original state of dismay. I wasnt able to get the stupid sticker off....so i just rattle canned over it. I need to put a couple more coats on and get the rest that isnt painted yet to help with future rust prevention on this dash piece. What I really would LOVE to do is get a stencil in some sort of font and spray paint my trucks name onto the dash, maybe the glove box or something in silver.

if you guys are curious where I got the name from, check the OP :D

Ask any of the sticker/ decal guys to do a reverse cut. You can stick it on and spray over it and then peel the sticker and leave the painted words. Or just do a decal so you can peel and replace whenever needed.

Stencil card(basically same thickness as a note card), x-acto knife, spray paint..easy. Michaels, Hobby Lobby, maybe Walmart would have the plastic stencils you could use to draw the letters on the stencil card.

Had an idea, you could etch your glass with a paw print over the other etchings that we won't mention.

alright, just ordered an EGR delete kit from LCE performance, brake switch from Rock Auto since the one in the truck has one of the blades broken, and 2 bearing nut kits; 54mm socket; 2 outer snap rings from Low Range Offroad which will finish up the front end of the pickup.

I also got all of the electrical tape off the factory harness so I can finally start tracing wires and cutting and splicing things so I can get this truck running properly on the new wiring harness

Its shaping up Chris! I was digging thru some storage boxes today and came across the Toyota truck owners BIBLE book I purchased back in 2003. It covers from 1958 - 1996. It's a pretty cool. Maybe you can find one on eBay. It's good to have. image.jpg

That wireing can be tricky. I haven't done a lot of it. If your manual you recently picked up doesn't show the wireing in detail there might be a separate electrical manual for the truck. I would also mark and ID each wire and take a ton of pictures.

Yeah the manual has an entire wiring diagram for the truck. It's just that it's been so jerry rigged from the battery, I'm not sure at all what I need to do. I'm kind of understanding where wires go and why they go. Just I'm so overwhelmed with it haha
