here we go! got a good amount accomplished today thanks to the help of @BadBrains. got rid of all of the EGR bs and installed LCE EGR block plates which got rid of A LOT of vacuum lines lol. Bought new side terminal conversion things and was able to install new battery terminals with a new alternator and ground wire from the battery and was able to get rid of the fire hazard of a setup lol.

Most of the wiring harness is out, down to the bare minimums of just getting the engine running. so many wires that were taken out lol. Tomorrow should be an awesome day, we should be able to get most of the new harness done. It's coming along great!

it's amazing how one little thing can prevent progress. this stupid relay was the cause of yesterdays fiasco trying to figure out why the blinkers didnt work, but the hazards did. damn relay is done, which explains why when I swapped the hazard relay over to the turn signals...everything magically started working lol. An entire day...wasted...because of a relay....

Awesome that guys have the time and skill and bravado to tackle these kinds of restorations, it's going to look killer. And please save your receipts, I'm curious to see what that $1000 eventually turns into ... ;-)
